GTA Online Beta Testing needs more trolls

It has finally occurred to me, that one of the reasons that GTA Online is so unbalanced, and so screwed up, is that the GTA0 Beta Test team does not have any griefers, trolls and assholes on their staff.

 

So they go through their little test routines, happily playing free-roam and doing missions, and driving their pretty cars around in an online utopia, oblivious to the cold hard reality that as soon as a game release hits the streets, a million assholes will log on to ruin everyone else's fun.

 

If the GTA0 Beta Test Team would add to their team a representative contingent of the kind of pathetic, stinking assholes that we see in almost every public free-roam session, they would be griefed so bad in the first 5 minutes, that they would suddenly see the light, and cry out, "Holy Sh*t, this game sucks!!! I am so pissed that I wanna throw my console out the window, stomp the controller into little plastic bits, and cause bodily harm to the nearest human in real life. Godammmmmmitttttttt !!!! I'm going to stomp right over to the Developers' Lab on the other floor, and rage and beat on them until they fix this, right funking now !!! And I'm not going to leave, or stop throttling the developers, until they fix the game design so that these f-ing trolls are neutralized !!! Who's with me on this? Let's go!! This isn't a game; it's a f*cking plague on mankind. AAAARRRRRGGGHHH."

 

Then we would see a decently balanced online game.

it woud indeed be awsomely interesting if 2 players are involved to work together and try to avoid other people having fun on purpose and then one player that needs to work solo having the same goal

Certainly true, but somehow, my Official GTA0 Beta Tester Feedback Report Form seems to be missing from my $60 game box

 

I would have made about 100 Xerox copies of the blank feedback form, to have enough for the various ways that I have been griefed while minding my own business, and other small game issues.

I tell myself it's just a game. But there's honestly no way they can control how people choose to play it. I mean, look at COD! It's suppose to be a fun shooter game, but it's full of 12 year-old's quickscoping, using C4, and target finders.

 

Every game's got 'em, and there's no way to tame 'em.

True, and that is underlying my point. GTA0 attracts all the wretched scum with game consoles, and they quickly determine every way that the game allows, to make other players miserable. That is their lot in life. We live with these kind of people on earth; they walk among us. The design of the game is the independent variable that can balance people's experience, or not. We friendly players don't have any other options for free-roam, except to take the sh*t from the griefers.

 

Don't say Invite Only - that's not an online game mode; it's just basically a LAN party among people who already know each other.

 

If the GTA0 beta testers had been exposed to the behavior we have seen every day since October 2013, and had they reported their justified complaints as game design problems, maybe the game designers would have quickly gotten a clue, for example, of how overpowered the tank (or jet) was, how public lobbies are nothing but broken, pointless deathmatches and PvP assassination exercises, and would have quickly seen how just one asshole in a lobby can ruin everyone's fun. And there is at least one in every lobby.

 

Clearly, the game deisgners did not understand these things, or alternatively, we could assume the worst, that they want everyone to hate the game. We might have to assume the latter, given all the other intrinsic game features (ones that don't involve the conscienceless player base) that also cause players to rage at what was supposed to be a fun activity.

GTA has always attracted trolls. it'll never stop.

I feel worse for the people on PC once that's hacked to bits. then again, dedicated servers mean all the difference.
