fuel in next gen?

IDK.. would be cool. Long as gas lasted a long time and we could fuel up at our own garages. Every NPC car has a random amount of gas in it. Some cars you steal could have full tanks and others would be riding on fumes.

Would also give use to the petrol can pickup.

 

Maybe in a hardcore game lobby mode.

I can see the last two being the issue. But if it's the first one, then no.

would be great for coast to coast type races.

 

Unfortunatley there is no option for a free race in GTAV/O (Race where you start on foot/have to find a car or any method to get to the finish line), or this would be perfect.

So what? I have to get gas IRL too. When i do I usually buy cigars while I'm there.. its like killing two birds with one stone.

 

You ever been stuck on the side of the road miles away from home after running out of gas? Fun isn't it?

No, because I'm not an asshole.. i keep gas in my car. One time, however, I almost ran out of gas when i made a wrong turn and ended up on a 30 mile highway with no turnarounds or exits. Cut it real close.. fuel light was blinking..

 

 

It would be nothing for you to get out your car and steal another. gas problem solved.

 

 

It's also not fun to be blown up by jets, tanks, ran off the road by robocops, etc.. i think gas would be one of the lesser frustrating elements TBH

 

 

Gas in Mafia Mafia II didnt ruin or slow down gameplay. U gotfull tank everytime u drive out of ur garage and u basically had to drive the same damn car around for 3 hours to run out of gas

 

This is how it should be. It was virtually impossible to run out of gas in Mafia II.. but it was possible. The possibility could add a new element to the game..

 

There are plenty of UN-enterable gas stations in the game. if these were opened there would be plenty of gas stations you could stop to refuel at, get snacks and drinks, smokes, etc. you could even rob it and not pay for your gas

 

If you keep the petrol can on you, it could be used to refuel if you needed it, but it should take a long time to run out of gas and the option to refuel before you ever take your car out the garage.

Also when u ran out of gas in Mafia the car would still run albiet at around 10 to 15 mph and sputter. Imo Mafia and Mafia II were very immersive games. Hell u could tun lights on and off kick doors in and eat actual food like hamburgers hotdogs and sandwiches in ur house

I don't even know what your talking about? Abbreviate on dashboard, cockpit, working gauges and MORE light controls? Where is this information from and what's it about? I know it's about cars but?

check the forums there was a thread about cockpit camera mode or dashboard camera as some call it and it was apparently a leak from rockstar website and beleived to be true, so if its true, it stated the the things I said and added "and more" at the end.... so im jus thinking IF its true then what could be classified as "more". So im saying fuel perhaps??

I love how all this information is "believed to be leaked", I don't though. It would just give griefers another avenue to piss people off by blowing up every gas station on the map so people can't refuel. The idea is cool in theory, and I'd laugh at every explosion, but I don't think it will ever happen.

I'm kind of for the idea of fuel and managing your tank. It would make you think a bit more about taking out your super cars and Sandkings and putting the pedal to the floor non stop for days at a time (in game). You'd see a better mix of vehicles being used probably. I wouldn't mind seeing a jet fall out of the sky empty after a griefer terrorizes the lobby for an hour straight.

I don't think it'll happen, other games with cockpit view, (GT6 for example), do have a working fuel gauge, but it doesn't move unless it's an event where fuel has to be managed, besides, who wants to worry about fuel?

There was a mod for this on the old Multi Theft Auto. I would consider this one of the better additions to GTA:O

but it'd be problematic - who wants a full tank of gas when they're racing? thy'd have to figure in additional weight to the car etc?? (or just leave that alone like they did w/o adjusting sh*t for spoilers etc - until they adjusted somethings for spoilers..)

this "leak" from Rockstar site is fakeit's real, it was on the rockstar support page or w.e. Not only that, it was cached on Google which cannot be faked. I saw it when it "leaked" so by no means it can be not real.

It's possible, although they would have to activate the gas stations to allow us to refuel...

Given the rendering of the gas stations, which are really defined, contoured well and possess a fueling dispenser that is yearning for functionality, it look as if they will follow suit with the Last-Gen vehicle interiors / dashboards and receive a high definition revamp.

Filling up for fuel would be awesome for immersion.

 

I think on the wiki, there is something that mentioned fuel was going to be implemented for GTA C but got cut during development.
