I play GTA Online to get away from SAMP RP servers. So yeah no, horrible idea. All the trolls will blow up the gas stations and I sure as sh*t will not walk my ass half way around the map for a jerry can.

I hope to god that we don't get this at least not in normal Free roam.

 

However I would welcome it if they gave us it in some sort of 'hardcore' servers that would also have no minimap.

omg, imagen if there were several types and the best gass that woud take youre car further and faster woud be 10 times more expensive then the cheapest one

How do you know that the cars even run on gasoline? Like I said, there aren't any gas caps.

Gas in Mafia Mafia II didnt ruin or slow down gameplay. U gotfull tank everytime u drive out of ur garage and u basically had to drive the same damn car around for 3 hours to run out of gas

The only way I can see this working is if there is an option to turn fuel off and on. This way it would accommodate people that are for and against fuel.

Honestly this is a speculation thread so I don't see this post lasting much longer. But, I think fuel would be a cool idea.

It already does. Shoot any car above the drivers side rear tire, it explodes much faster. Oh and to whoever said about the hybrids-YES!

With a position of respect of all other verdicts pertaining to this query, I would personally, absolutely love the implementation of fueling as it would add an immersive rigorousness to the driving element of the New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V experience. Upon further scrutiny of the instrument gauge that harbors the gasoline and engine coolant readings, it appears as though those needles are akin to those of the tachometer and speedometer, indicating that they may be animate as well.

 

Certainly within the vicinity of Los Santos, there are multiple fueling stations in very close proximity of each other; however for the Blaine County landscape, there would be longer routes to travel to reach the station though Grand Theft Auto: V is populated with a plethora of stations, some of which are unmarked.

 

If the implementation of this amenity came to fruition, undoubtedly a majority of the Grand Theft Auto: Online participants would lament of how it would inhibit the 'playability factor' whilst driving, chiefly when undertaking the vehicle retrieval missions for Simeon. Moreover, if fueling were to be exclusively designated for usage within Grand Theft Auto: Online, the fueling stations would be sabotaged and dubbed fiery deathtraps. The audacity in Grand Theft Auto: Online is strong.

 

I think that fueling would be awesome if it was exclusive to Single Player, providing the inclusion of gas caps of course.

 

In a realistic sense, though, my presumption is akin to that of another poster. Upon piercing the underside of the vehicle with a well-placed bullet, a fuel trail will spew and the gas gauge needle will progressively deplete to nothing. The vehicle would have to simply be ditched and another one commandeered.

 

To see that in and of itself, would be awesome.

I would be shooting the gas tank on every PV I saw to drain the fuel out. It would make their car even more useless as a blown up one as they cant call Mors for a new one. Also, no bad sport points!
