Would you want an aviation update that's actually good?

I think most of us can agree the Flight School update wasn't so good, I wouldn't call it the worst but it definitely didn't quite match up to the hype.

 

Now, I've seen some people saying they simply disliked the update because they don't care about flying that much, and therefore an update centered around aircraft felt pointless to them. On the other hand, I've also seen people who like flying complaining that the update lacked essential aircraft that we were confident and/or really wanted to get, such as the Hydra, the Hunter, maybe the Rustler, etc.

 

That made me wonder: If Rockstar released a new update centered around aviation, including vehicles we actually want, like the Hunter and the Hydra (And some other airplanes), and maybe some new weapons and aviation-based clothes (i.e. - Commercial pilot outfits, flight attendant suits, etc.), would you care for it? Or, at this point, do you just refuse any kind of update that has anything to do with "flying"?

I don't think it was bad either, I fly the Besra almost everyday, but most of us (Including myself) were expecting a much better update, especially when multiple leaks suggested the Hydra would be included.

Honestly all Flight School needed was some firepower. That's largely what it was missing, I remember when the Trailer was announced, people were still hoping the Hunter/Hydra would come or that the new Jet etc would at least come with some weaponry to battle the other Jets. As we all know though, they are more than likely saving them for another Update. The Hydra for sure as it's been found in Creator recently.

Who said it was? And what's wrong with wanting them anyway? I don't blame people for wanting to see an updated Version of some of their favorite aircraft. There are so many cars I'd like to see from the 3D Era in HD.

FR activities involving planes would be nice. Maybe like the Crates / Armoured Trucks we could get a message telling us to pick up some product at an airfield. First person there has to fly the plane to the drop off, and they get x amount for reaching destination safely. If anyone can stop the plane from making the journey then that person gets a little less than x amount as reward from the LSPD.

 

By keeping the delivery reward higher than the stopping reward you'll keep players wanting to make the delivery rather than camping the airfield or sticky bombing the plane and waiting for some poor sap to get in.

more free roam activities would be excellent, shame that missions cannot be performed in free roam. heists would be great in FR too (lol - as if they will ever come out)

The best thing from that update was the change in mission payout. It made people play random missions again and ''fixed'' the game in a big way as I'm a mission guy.

 

The rest was disappointing. I would have bought the Besra if it either had one of tree things: guns, rockets, or an extra seat. A training jet with one seat... R* logic at its' finest. I would have bought the Swift if it had one or two extra seats as well, but it doesn't.

 

I'm hoping for another ''better'' aviation update.

heists would be great in FR too (lol - as if they will ever come out)

Same here, cars all day. I don't even remember the last time that are got tattoos in an update and if anything, the male characters are in desperate need for some new fitted caps(hats) and shoes, enough with the men's warehouse suits.

And why people want a Hydra or Hunter is beyond me, you want a hovering tank that you can pick up at probably any helicopter spawn point in free roam now? I can just see the threads on here, Hyrda is OP, Nerf the Hydra, Why don't hydra pilots have to pay insurance, Will I get bad sport if I blow up 500 PV's with a Hydra?

I like flying in GTA Online, it's my main mode cross-country transport (both planes and helis).

 

Personally, I'd love to have another flying update, if it came with actual useful vehicles (not an overpriced heli, useless/fun jet, and a big shamal). I don't really care for the Hydra, but I would like to see some kind of VTOL transport like the V-22 Osprey. I would also like either the Rustler, Nevada, or Beagle to return. Those were awesome.

Also, update the Titan to carry vehicles. That would make it sooooo much more useful.

 

I don't think the "community" (or whatever we call this pulsating mass of opinions) would like another aviation themed update so soon. I would be happy if they just included a plane/heli in each update (or every other update).

seriously...what the f*ck was so bad about the flight school update people forgot about the independance update ?

besides the fact it made an end of f*cking rooftop rumble invites being everywhere and the adding of the tank icon, the vehicles were not bad

we have like the abbility to own the second fastest plane/jet there is, the fastet helicopter and the plane that has the most capacity

and hell, ok if flying isnt youre main think but the flight school was in fact quite fun

 

ps: there is now because of that update some sport classic that can be competitive against the z-type to...wich is hated much

people shoud be happy

Since I love flying in real life and in game. I still consider the Flight School update as the best DLC for me.

 

Though i hope R* adds the Hunter and a bomber at least.

 

The hydra is already leaked in the game. To find it simply go to the content creator, go to type, and in type you will see Lazer, Buzzard then the Hydra.

 

This is a HUGE clue that the hydra is coming into the game
