Is Retaliate a Rockstar verified deathmatch that anyone would want to play? If so why?

Yes.

 

I have no problem with any of the R* or R* Verified deathmatches. They are at least balanced and have thought out spawn points.

Thanks man, I needed to fall out of my chair laughing.

 

Seriously, "Prison Thugz Fight" with a hidden bus, races with poorly placed ramps/obstacles that guarantee a fail on (at least) the first run... R* only verifies stuff that has a high amount of "likes", never taking quality into account...

they used to verify races with high amount of likes

now it has changed and it dont matter

Most of the Verified races and deathmatches are fine.

 

They have never used likes as a way to choose, some of the very first verified jobs had almost no likes.

 

I can't speak for deathmatches, as I dont play them often. These are excellent verified races.

Quick n' Quarellsome

Monaco Grand Prix

Los Santos Triangle

The Valedictorian

The Academic

 

Those are just a few, there is quitwo a few more good ones.
