zoobulon
Haha, my low level secondary looks like my primary, I thought all my missions had disappeared. Also, I was drunk. Who needs money? I do survivals for fun and to help noobs. Poor little guys will follow you around like baby ducks for a chance to play coveted, r.r., or trash talk. Makes my avatar feel pretty! lol! fn0000rd
I do them for fun. I know, it's weird, but sometimes that's why I play games. Hordes of people to shoot that just keep spawning, charging at me? Sign me up. It seems Sandy has come up in popularity lately, I'd mostly seen Boneyard up until the last week or so. Lessen the number of AI, and add a few armored character models that will make you pardon a group effort to take down, (they wield miniguns). Take the Buzzards away for at least a round and let a tank roll in for a chance to crush your progress, 'Crystal-Out' a bunch of enemy hillbillies to be immensely resistant to bullets, and leave them to wreck hell with bone-shattering melee weapons that knock you to the ground upon contact. Give me high-caliber rounds from two snipers perched where we cannot see, bullets that whiz by my ears, or that shatter my skull if I stop running and I'm not in cover. Reveal them only when they fire, give them laser sightlines to locate them, you know, make it possible or perhaps when all the other enemies are dead they take off. Have us wander around in the open to wonder where the next wave lies only to find them landing atop buildings, behind us, in dumpsters, and in our fearful hearts using parachutes. Provide us with a Survival atop (and within) the incomplete Mile High Club, leave us dangling for our lives fighting off professionals and gunships with our backs to the pillars and our feet keeping watch where we choose to fight. Drop some BST that makes your bullets trail fire and set your enemies ablaze, your screen begins to flash and distort colors as your killing spree commences, (why the hell filters are chosen to be placed in deathmatches but not co-op experiences like Survival is beyond me) I mean, honestly, Survival to me is how long I can survive not getting bored. If that were the case, I would fail it everytime. There's just.. nothing special about it. Not even an effortless pinch of variety. It almost feels as if there was supposed to be more to it. I mean, I understand Survival isn't the big cheese of this game, and I'm not expecting a huge blatant focus for it, but a little something more than just a few gunships and a bunch of enemies that have rediculous targeting isn't too much to ask for, is it? Phantomspirit
Sevv some really great ideas there, these are the sort of things that would tempt me back to Survival,as it stands I don't want to do them, unless I've got time to kill.... EKGene
People do survivals for money?... Yes. Problem? Time invested and total ammo used. Try Wave 10-ing Industrial Plant, Solo, on Free Aim. That being said, the aforementioned Survival was the most fun I have had in GTA Online thus far. And, with friends (who know what they're doing), even better. RichiesTrucking
its survivals that i mostly do athough i avoid boneyard because it just isnt challenging for more than 2 players. processed is good for some all out blasting but again, for 2 players unless you are willing to let lower level players get the RP. i do that a lot so they can level up quicker and i can cash in with 30k by stepping in if they die. my favourites are sandy, industrial and sawmill but only if i have at least 1 person who works as a team. its as boring or fun as you make it for yourself

I generally like to do these with 2, maybe 3 people tops, but you're at the mercy of how long it takes people to join.

It seemed that your premise was that Survivals were a decent way to earn money, and thus, my reply, as Wave 10-ing a Free Aim Industrial Plant Solo is not easy on the wallet. Yes, I answered your question regarding people playing survivals for money. No, I didn't claim that I do play them for cash. ten-a-penny, you do see how someone reading your initial response to the original question could/would infer that you play Survivals for cash, yes? Also, I kind of went OT and didn't address the original premise of this thread: Sandy Survival is not down for me, as it just popped up at the next job voting screen. ten-a-penny
PlotTwist: I wasn't talking about myself. If you read my previous post carefully, you'll realize I answered the question regarding if people use survivals to make money, NOT that I play them for money myself. Even though I only have around 100k+, I have nothing to buy, therefore why I never care about cash.
zoobulon
I finish most survivals under 6k$ c.o.d.b. , that's with my neurotic need to blow the van out of my way when I'm behind the dumpster next to the sandy tattoo parlour. That's fun AND profit! Edited October 30, 2014 by zoobulon
EKGene
Not to get into semantics here, but since I've time to waste... PlotTwist: I wasn't talking about myself. If you read my previous post carefully, you'll realize I answered the question regarding if people use survivals to make money, NOT that I play them for money myself.Even though I only have around 100k+, I have nothing to buy, therefore why I never care about cash. Right, thus: People do survivals for money?... Yes. Problem? I neve*actually* said I play them for money. So, if one were to read your first post, one could infer that you indeed played Survivals for the payout, and that the questioning of such caused some feeling of indignation. Your subsequent post went on to clarify your first, but it is, perhaps, that your initial response, however succinct in your mind, could have been read with the aforementioned tinge of indignation. Basically, someone asked a question, and it seemed that you defensively responded, as if this was your position. Anyone could or would logically make that inference from your initial post. Because I logic, bruh. hornedturtle and ten-a-penny
ten-a-penny
I just remembered, I DID used survivals for its payout as a lowbie. Sorry for misunderstanding, though!
MercurySummer
The money is a decent bonus if the survival has been fun and you've been playing it with good people, pretty much the only thing that changes on survivals is the people you play it with and whether or not you will have 1,2 or 3 helicopters on wave 10. I'd like to see maybe a normal/hard option just to mix it up a bit, I'm very aware that may never happen though
