Increasing difficulty of Jets with every update

I used to enjoy flying jets. I am decently skilled, but with more and more people complaining about jets, R* has made it nearly impossible to grab a jet without forking out $5K and once you are in one, the fun doesn't last. I wish I had a PVR to show video. This may not apply to everybody, but it happens to me quite often.

 

First off, NPC jet is now indestructible. It can catch on fire, but after unloading into, and crashing into it, it shot me after I spawned, then flew away... still on fire...
And why is the NPC jet 3 times faster than you, with it's landing gear down??? I even got shot by it, when I was BEHIND IT. It literally shot 1 bullet out of it's ass and blew me up. I understand there has to be a difficulty, but this is just plain cheating, and yet, we aren't allowed to cheat. Teach by example eh?

My jet has fallen out of the sky like a brick, for no reason. I shot down a couple tanks and helicopters before this happened. It was undamaged when it fell, engine was still on...

Just today, I was hunting a heli down. for some reason the rockets wouldn't lock on, so I used bullets, SOMEHOW my explosive bullets bounced off the helicopter, and hit me, causing suicide... the helicopter flew on as nothing happened. This was a player heli btw, not an NPC. No prior evidence of hacking, we were shooting him earlier.

Things like this happen more often than they used to, and it seems to only happen when I am killing players a bunch. Is this the games way of handicapping the jets, to please everybody who's complaining? I feel like the game is worse off than it was a year ago. We still have horrible network issues. Due to the freezing epidemic, my PS3 Slim's hard drive is actually damaged from all the hard reset's. It got so bad, it could barely load textures anymore. I have since switched to my GF's Super Slim.

R* went too big too fast. They dont know how to handle the load this game creates. Fist-fighting is a joke, riding a bike is ridiculous too. unless it's guns and cars, GTA can't do it right. I truly believe these issues wouldnt be as apparent if XBOX could have gone Blueray. They have to cut the game down to 16 GB's so it will fit on 2 dvd's. Bluerays are 50GB, they could have done so much more...

Not seeing it dude. I take a helicopter in from North of zancudo right over the hangered jet, drop in and 180 into the hanger just as 4 stars pop up. Hop into jet and fly straight up until out of missle lock range, click right thumbstick to check for tailing jet and off I go. Easy.

I did tear up an NPC jet that took off right behind my friend the other night.

It's hit or miss for me.

maybe it's the day of week or time of day.

Well we are all hoping it will be much much better and smoother in the next gen versions, they are vastly more powerful so they will kick ass. I agree entirely with the bluray idea. The freezes in my house dont go away and you have to reset the ps3.

No he didn't, the standard ps3 one wouldnt have broken, the new one was see through plastic and the part that broke was the part at the bottom thats down near your palm when you play, hopefully he learns a little lesson as he bought that with his own money.

If you NEED a jet try flying straight up so the NPC's have a harder time getting you. Preferably above the clouds.

Now to ask the bigger question: Why TF do we have access to such military equipment such as a fighter jet or tank anyways? This type of stuff is not used by the public. Im a good pilot and honestly don't understand why this stuff is in the game.

Jets are just a waste. They are annoying to myself and other players because the people who steal them constantly kill people who are minded there own business. An example? I was using my cheetah after update 1.16 and going to buy the new clothes, but some jerk decided it would be fun to blow up my car for no reason other than to receive satisfaction at the death of an innocent player who did nothing to them. What was my excuse? Was he HYDRA? No? Was he some criminal? No? He was just some person who likes to make others miserable. Not surprisingly, a lot of people in GTA Online are like that. They just can't leave others alone who are busy or doing something important. Passive Mode doesn't help either, it's a waste.

 

So Basically, the Lazer-P90 is an insult to GTA Online and to players who don't want trouble. I don't like it and I don't care if people who are having trouble using it aren't having fun with it or as a matter of fact if they took it out of the game.

It's really not that difficult to steal a jet the old fashioned way. If you get shot down just go steal another one. You just need to be patient.

Think I'll try an invite only session to try stealing a jet and see how long it'll fly if it doesn't get shot down.

This method was given to me a few months ago, and it's completely flawless.

 

Fly the jet as low as can and as close as you can to the fence surrounding the Fort on your way out. The NPC jet will never spawn if you do this.

I've had the NPC spawn behind me randomly because i got away from the base too quickly for it. I've also had the npc shoot me on the ground right after I spawn 3 times in a row just because it wanted to be a dick. I didnt even have stars, and it just shot my jet down. This latest thing pissed me off though. yesterday was in a jet, saw a guy parachuting to get a crate, so i go to fly into the chute to make him fall to his death... no... my jet f*cking blew up... and he 'chuted down like nothing happened. WTF man, now parachutes are stronger than jets? I give up on this game... BL Pre-sequel is comming out tues, I could use a gta break for a bit.

I managed to steal a jet after a few attempts. Tanks kept getting me. And dog fighting the npc jet...I used a missile or two to blow a wing off it, it fell and exploded after hitting the ground. It was still alive when it got hit with two missiles though, so I guess they aren't killable with your jet. But you can still take them out.

 

And I'll have to check if a trick I've done before will work. Two friends stole jets and flew past me when I was outside the fence. I shot two npc jets that went after them with my heavy sniper rifle. One round each, and the npc jets tried to lose altitude to avoid being shot some more. They both plowed right into the runway and exploded.

I've noticed usually the third time getting killed by a tank they (tanks) dont spawn... I ALSO noticed if your grab a jet and just start killing the whole lobby, when you go to get another jet few-none will spawn. a few times I have sat in the military base for over 10 min driving around and none would spawn unless another player was near. just yesterday the only one that spawned was in the hanger luckly.

It honestly feels like we were flying some German military gear. Just falling from the sky randomly is not a realistic jet handling code outside Germany.
