He had the usual fantasies about having sex with dead animals, people and the like. What I am dying to know is WHY he did it. In the videos no mention is made to his motives or what led him to do it which is surprising to me. Not even any eluding to a possible motive. You'd think thats no 1 on the detectives priority list apparently seems irrelevant. I thought I'd post here cos it involves virginity and this is a gaming forum so you guys might be interested. I'm not sure if executing people like this is really the best course of action, as by keeping sociopaths alive, we have the ability to analyze, understand, and better predict their behavior. The crime itself is horrible and repulsive, but capital punishment is not necromancy, nor it is an effective deterrent against crime. Given that it's Texas though, he'll likely receive the death penalty. Either way, he's total f*cking scum. His trial already happened But there's always a chance that--and I'm not saying that's the case here--the suspect is delusional, and confessed to a crime they did not commit, or were simply falsely accused for whatever reason. This is part of the reason that, as you said, capital punishment is mostly on the way out. The biggest problem with those who support capital punishment in these sort of situations, is that they're fueled mainly by emotions and bourgeois morality--this person did wrong, they must pay. The mentality is certainly understandable, but it fails to address the root of the problem--similar to the belief that the police will magically eliminate crime, whilst ignoring that the social and material conditions of the capitalist mode of production inevitably creates a permanently unemployable underclass that must resort to criminality as a means of self-preservation, thus necessitating a perpetual cycle of crime and punishment. (Obviously, this does not explain away all criminal activity.) I mean, yeah, some motherf*ckers deserve to die--as luck would have it, we all inevitably succumb to it's cold grip--but understanding motherf*ckers like this is important to, well, preventing more motherf*ckers like this from doing the same thing. I'm not saying "he's just misunderstood", but that we can learn from this.
