Basically I joined a round with a bunch of guys and stole the cargo bob from the military base. Of course, you can't outrun those cop choppers without everyone giving out a helping hand. No one did so I flew it onto a building where it ended up not working. From then on I spent about an hour sniping all the police helicopters that came, waiting for someone else to get the initiative to come pick me up.. no one did.

I probably sniped 30 - 40 helicopters down in that time.. I'll get a picture of my kills when I finish the mission if I have time for it.. all the others left just after I lost the wanted level after miraculously avoiding a helicopters line of sight.. I guess they grew sick of waiting, could've helped though, right!?

What're your opinions on this mission? I'm going to go finish it right now..

Does anyone else have any stories like this? I'd love to hear them!

When I get the cargobob I just fly to my apartment and land, then run into the garage and wait there till the cops go away, then its smooth sailing, sometimes you can out fly the cops tho, its a challenging mission tho but pretty fun :)

Avoid getting the cop choppers on you in the first place by flying to the hillside north of ft. Zancudo.

if you wait out your wanted level there, the police choppers never even spawn.

I'm on mobile, so if someone could post a pic of the place I am describing.. That'd be grrrreaaaat..

That's an excellent idea.

Or you could kill yourself if there's an extra life left. When I do try to outrun them, I head for the open seas. Doesn't always work though.

i feel ya buddy almost anyone i do a mission with recently seems mentally challenged, very few 'true' GTA players out there playing this game anyways for docks to stock i usually fly straight up cos helicopters cant breach the zancudo no-fly zone so i just hang around up in the sky til i lose the stars

Lmao there was an extra life but either way it would've been wasted so I tried to fight it out. So I parachuted down and whadda ya know? I forgot to change my high powered rifle to my bullpup rifle and got more torn then a piece of meat given to a rottweiler. Killed nearly all the Merryweather guys and just let the last two kill me since I had to get another cargobob anyway.

All of the Cargobob missions are sh*t.

I'd rather they get rid of those and give me a Cargobob I can buy.

Couldn't you just call Lester to remove the wanted level?

No because Lester gives you this mission, you cant use his abilities for any of Lesters missions

I like this mission too, I always land on the road next to Zancudo and jump out and let the cops kill me so I don't have to worry about the choppers hounding me, they annoy the sh*t out of me and there's nowhere to hide out there :D. I always do it solo so I don't mind sacrificing a life. I'll try doing what you do though, sounds better than tactical suicide lol.

you can do it easily with 2 guys 1 grabs the bob 1 grabs 1 of the black choppers land the bob on the grassy hill outside the base quickly before the cops swarm have the guy in the chopper land beside you pick you up(if you do it fast enough and fly over the mountain you can evade the stars in under 30 seconds) fly back to the bob get in finish mission piece of cake.

There's also the southeastern corner of Zancudo, the elevated grass patch on the corner of the fences, and make sure you're outside the fence. That spot is still considered Zancudo airspace, so police choppers won't touch you unless you fly into the swamp. Just ascend to a respectable height and watch your wanted level disappear. (:

Recently realised I haven't completed the first 'Docks to Stock' mission before. Tried it today and it's completely retarded. Pretty sure the Merryweather guys by the container are marked as cops for some reason, so killing them (the objective of the mission) gets you a 3 star wanted level and "Lose the cops." Out-f*cking-standing.

They're marked like that only before everyone loses their wanted levels and someone triggers the "get to the area" marker. It's to prevent people from doing the mission too quickly I supposed... No point to it now. That also happens in D2S2 and American Exports.

This. I solo D2S2 and American Exports using this trick all the time. Just grab the 'Bob, get over the fence but not beyond the road then rise up. Surprisingly easy for such a "hard" mission...

That's a good idea too. Most of the time my friend is able to get the cop choppers off of me using the Buzzard, and this is how we'll play the mission, but I never thought of that, considering the Buzzard can outrun the choppers.

Np buddy of mine and myself have done them that way 100s of times if you have trouble getting in the base the way we do that is 1 guy brings his cheetah (the super car) parks it infront of the gate jumps in the other guys car drive back a ways and use the cheetah as a ramp.

Same bullsh*t as American Exports.

Was playing with a random dude. He went with the buzzard and the police heli were spawning at 3 spots that automatically cage me at where I was. Another time, I went with the Buzzard and another guy flew the bob. All I did was destroying the heli and another one popped up right behind the explosion smoke.

Rockstar seemed like hiring noob mission designers who just aim to trap and make players lose.

I fly the cargo bob into the cave on the east side of the map, leading the police choppers through the wind farm. But usually fly north-northeast out of the base and avoid roads, the helicopters never track me in that direction, never knew they couldn't fly over the base, gonna try that today.

I just fly straight up in the air from where I Acquire the Cargobob while looking backwards and lose the Cops without ever being spotted...

For solo, since you have a spare life you can also land outside the base and commit suicide to loose the cops :)

nvr understood why people do that zancudo jump. the jump on the otherside is much more efficient.. you see lots of n00bs fking it up on that side too whereas the other side is relatively foolproof. if i'm showing a n00b how to get in it's never the way of in that vid. & i'm always surprised when my friends go in that way too. it's like, where'd you go? ok i guess i'll just have to wait 5seconds on you.. & those 5seconds.. man they feel like an eternity. & of course i'm sitting in the base waiting just puts pressure on them & they fk up the jump.

just go up the lefthand side, please. for my sake.

Only grab the 'bob if you know how to lose the cops without getting it damaged.
