Will Ltd Edition DLC Vehicles Ever Return?

It feels like the people that want the seasonal items to remain unobtainable are the people that just care of the vanity instead of the item itself and just don't want people to get them.

I don't think the Albany Roosevelt should be reintroduced. Instead of reintroducing I'd rather see that Rockstar every now and then releases a new limited edition veteran car.

"Limited edition" content is illogical when it is digital content, and free content. The premises behind that is that players get to say "not everyone has what I have, that makes me feel unique". That doesn't even matter since MILLIONS of players still ended up with the content anyway.

 

Collectors edition content makes more sense since you pretty much pay for it, less people have it so you get that feeling somewhat more. In gtav's case, it isn't even top preforming cars that SE buyers got, an average car, average bike, and one novelty car(the only real unique vehicle included) its pathetic really.

 

 

Something more personal: By no means am I salty, but I wish I could have gotten the liberator and a certain valentines day shirt. At the time I had no XB live since it ran out. I have the gta cash for damn sake, and people buy shark cards, what a way to undermine peoples real life money and limit what they can do with it.

Someone with sense. I just want the roosevelt cause it's an old school car that can carry 6 people and the liberator cause it's the freakin liberator.

I regret selling my Roosevelt as it was rarely used and at the time we could only own 1 property.

 

Additionally, themed-content (ie. snow on Christmas day last year) should be extended for a longer period. You'd think that the majority of GTAO's player base isn't going to spend Christmas playing GTA.... what were Rockstar thinking when they decided that the snow was to only last 24 hours?

If Rockstar is saying it's only available for a limited time they are not actually saying just once. If they offer the item for 364 days in a year it would still be limited. If they bring a car out for one month in a year and do so the next year it would still be limited. Easy concept.

Limited edition would indicate it is a one time thing....in my opinion

I grinded for hours trying to earn enough money for a Roosevelt, but between work and my social life, just ran out of time. Yet, I paid $60 for this game, I don't want gated off content for stupid reasons. Bothers me enough that I can never have the special edition sh*t because the game store sent me the wrong copy and wouldn't let me return it. I can deal with the Roosevelt and such into being available once a year, but never? f*ck you, that's bullsh*t.

In order too fuel shark card sales they have too create more money sinks in the game, this is just how business works. Rock star is just like every other company out there, it is about maximizing profit.

 

True Money sinks in game now, cars(they are fun and we all.want the best), non combat Pegasus vehicles, cosmetic mods that don't effect performance, job/ mission cost, weapon tints, explosives (1x use high cost), contact abilities (bounties, mugger etc), insurance costs,

 

Necessary evils , ammo, explosives,bulletproof tires, armor max stats for races (brakes,turbo, engine etc),

 

Truly limited edition, rare items are going too cost the equivalent of a 5-20$ shark card with perhaps a 1-7 day limited availability.

 

The less time available the greater the price.

Hope so because I lost my Roosevelt somehow and I want a chance to replace it. Option I see is opening up the dealerships in game to where they rotate HOT vehicles. Simeon's would be High End vehicles, the one up in Sandy Shores could be Low End and the one by the Impound ,where we do a blow up mission at, could be Mid Level vehicles. We export cars for Simeon and so this would be where we can get cars imported that are unique, rare, or old DLC cars that players missed out on or want to replace because they lost them somehow.

 

So for example, all of us Duke's of Hazzard fans could get our hands on a Bravado Duke's from 1 of these dealerships if we keep an eye on them. Complete with a Dukes livery as 1 of the Livery options for the car. Want Herbie the Love Bug or a Indy inspired car? Same Idea just watch the 3 dealerships.

I bought the Roosevelt because i thought it would be fun to use during Heists

Turns out I never really use it. As with al the special event stuff. The beer hats that I never put on, the T-shirts, the maskes. The only special items I really like are the firework launcher, the musket and the Tommy gun. I only have the Tommy Gun on my main charater, and really miss it on my secondary charater that I created sometime during the summer.

 

I bought the Souvereign for my secondary charater and the Liberator for my main charater.

 

BTW. The female Massacre Day hair, is that still available if you have already bought it?

I never bought it because I didn't really like it at the time, but now I'm going for the full retard look and it would have been excellent for that.

The Independence day hair is still available, since I did use that on my character. Or is that still available to everyone as well?

I paid for the special edition, my copy didn't have the codes in it. They wouldn't exchange it because it was opened, but refunded the difference in price.

 

And no, not too bad for me, it's absolute bullsh*t to withhold content for any reason and if you support this, you're encouraging a dangerous precedent.

 

What's next? If GTA VI had multiple protagonists, you'll have to buy the special edition to play as the other characters? Where is the line drawn?
