Will Ltd Edition DLC Vehicles Ever Return?

The Roosevelt was on sale for three days not a month.

And its not ok to release limited items to the masses just because you personally dont like the CE cars.

The solution would be to let us sell cars to other players.

So you can sell your CE cars since you obviously dont care/want them.

Why are we having this argument anyway???

We all know 90% of the player s will return to their [email protected] zentornos anyway.

Limited items need to stay limited or they are not limited edition and thus there would have been zero point in making them so in the first place.

I sometimes wonder about you people...

I made a thread awhile back asking if people would be willing to pay for limited-time items. So for example, if you still wanted the Roosevelt, you'd have to pay for it in terms of GTA to US dollars. Not sure what the rate is, but a 500k shark card is $10 US. So that puts the Roosevelt somewhere around $15 US. I still think the vehicle would be pretty limited if it had that sort of price tag. Not many would be willing to dish out $15 for single car. For those of you who purchased it during that limited window still have the advantage because, A. It would still be a rarity, and B. You obtained it for FREE.

No, the Roosevelt was available from Feb 13th to like March 1st or 2nd. Hardly three days.

They were never sold as limited edition vehicles, but seasonal vehicles. (especially considering all the vehicles were available for weeks, not days like you seem to be mis-remembering)

I don't want people to have them because I don't like them, it's actually the opposite, I do like them and want others to enjoy them. I'd understand the Hotknife and other CE cars staying locked out because they WERE limited edition items, but when you ask if as a CE owner would i be bothered by it...no, I wouldn't be.

And why are we having this argument if you believe nobody is going to use them anyways?

Seriously, sometimes I wonder about you people.

You do realize there is a giant difference between limited time only and one time only, right?

If they make them available again for the same amount of time that they did last time then they would still be by definition limited time only. Just because you seem to be confused on what a simple concept like limited time means it doesn't mean the rest of us are too.

Not A Nice Person

I agree, Need to buy the Valentines dresses

This. OP please remind me what 'Limited' means?

Hey, chicken fries were limited, but Burger King says they'll be back next year. ;)

They're limited for a reason though. I don't have any of the Valentines cars or any of the American Independence day content, but I don't care really. If R* were to make a market where people could sell there Limited edition vehicles to other players I'd be cool with that but just reselling them to the masses? No, not cool. New content next time these events come around thanks R*.

What about other people who want it. World doesn't revolve aroung you.

I hope no, rares are a good thing on multiplayer online games.

So what about the people who didn't have a GTA Online profile when the items were released? Is it f*ck them?
well too bad for them!

roosevelt, along with the other rare vehicles and stuff should never be available again.

using your logic, i guess every person that create a new gtao profile should receive a 500k after all, what about the people who didn't have a GTA Online profile and when through the madness of gtao launch month?

heck they should receive an extra 500k after all, what about the people who didn't have a GTA Online profile when R* wiped all the money from game back in january?

having this limited stuff is like the only benefits of playing the game for so long!

I see now that you're one if those a-holes that runs around killing people for no reason and blowing up their cars. I don't need rockstar to give me any money because you can get money by doing anything in the game. Those items I talk about are not money and there's a huge difference. Quote me on some disrespectful sh*t again and I'll tell you what it is

How did you get that from what he said? You're just being salty. It's called limited content for a reason, if you didnt have a profile when the content was released that's on you. I hope the Roosevelt was a one time thing, let them release something different this Valentines Day, it's nobody's fault but yours that you missed out.

it have nothing to do with the topic but yes im one of those assholes that go around killing everyone and blowing up their cars.

anyway, i was not being disrespectful, i was using your logic in a example.

the appeal behind a LIMITED stuff is exactly that once gone, its gone for good!

like i said before, those limited edition items are the only perks we have and they should never be made available again.

Well, that's putting it a bit rudely. But essentially, yes. Limited time items are limited time, and if somebody had no online profile for whatever reason then thats a shame but they missed the boat. I want to go back to San Fran in the 60s, but no bugger will build me a time machine.

I missed out on my opportunity to buy a Roosevelt and I regret it. I would like another chance to buy one, but I also respect the idea of rare items. So I was thinking it would be cool if they released variations of previous limited items. Like a 2 door roadster variation of the Roosevelt.

Daimler_Double-Six_50_Corsica.jpg

That way players like me can get something similar, while people who own the first model can start collecting the whole set.

You can still purchase the liberator....

I think that only appears if you already owned it

I had a sovereign and sold it but can still buy one

That pisses me off. I didn't buy the Sovereign because I didn't want it to take up 1/20 garage spots...

If I had known we could sell it and still buy it after the DLC period, I would have bought it no doubt.

It wasn't the cost that stopped me from buying one.

Oh deary me, there seems to be mass confusion over the word limited time.

I'll give an example to clarify for everyone: In the UK dunno about anywhere else, there is a chocolate called Creme Eggs, they are known as a limited timed product due to them appearing around Easter, after that occasion, you are not able to buy them In the store where it was once readily available.

This means that though the Roosevelt was a limited timed product, it has the possibility of appearing again during valentines (if R* wish to do so)

In terms of rarity and benefit of owning it because you purchased it beforehand, everyone is entitled to their own opinion on whether it should stay rare. Can't we jus chill and blow peoples cars up pls.

I normally have a lot more respect for you, so I'll play nice.

That's a incredibly stupid argument. Why? Because I could make the same argument about the people who want them to resell these items. Players having limited edition items is basically one of the only "ooo look at me" things you can get in GTAO due to the fact every other dick, jim and harry can purchase a buzzard and zentoro and so on with the flick of a credit card.

And anyway, 99.98% of these people would buy it, drive it for three minutes, go offline, come back and leave it in a pile of dust until they come back to the forums and make a topic complaining about the fact they "can't sell this useless item I no longer want".

To me I think it should come back just because what if the other people only had a xbox one or ps4 they should have the chance to get it as well. Just make the car only available for a week or a weekend. Plus they could add more content along with the old content.

I don't really care, I sold the Soverign and I regret buying the Liberator, I can't bare thinking about how I wasted 700k+ on it, especially when I only used it in R* made races...

I'm sorry but are people somehow confused with titles such as 'Valentines Day Special' 'Independence Day Special' etc...? of course these special events will be an annual thing, and for all the simple idiots wondering if we will get snow in-game at Christmas, of bloody course we will.

Bullsh*t.

I grinded for hours trying to earn enough money for a Roosevelt, but between work and my social life, just ran out of time. Yet, I paid $60 for this game, I don't want gated off content for stupid reasons. Bothers me enough that I can never have the special edition sh*t because the game store sent me the wrong copy and wouldn't let me return it. I can deal with the Roosevelt and such into being available once a year, but never? f*ck you, that's bullsh*t.

u mean if u buy it once , u can buy it over and over in case of somehow ur limited vehicle lose and wanted to returned ( like hacker/modder was able to make ur PV dissapear in thin air , caused by a glitch , the vehicle has no insurance despite being purchased from internet , etc )

this proably an same effect that once u input the CE code , then u can buy for free & unlimited ( which if u haven't use the code yet , then listed as out of stock )

It feels like the people that want the seasonal items to remain unobtainable are the people that just care of the vanity instead of the item itself and just don't want people to get them.

What is the point of keeping a Roosevelt when everyone have it ?

I keep mine cause it goes well with my collection of old cars and looks cool, not cause it's rare or anything.

Well if they do return I dont think we could consider them limited edition anymore.

You know because it wont be limited if they come back.

Maybe for one 24 hour period.

And to the people crying they missed the chance.

That is the exact fvcking point of a limited time item!!!.

Not everyone having a chance to buy it is the main fvcking point!!

Thats why its limited.

I guess you should have access to the Hotknife, Kham, and Carbon Rs too??

GTFO

F*ck you using your logic they are one time edition Not limited. I've seen real life limited edition items come back. So stfu and YOU GTFO

"Limited edition" content is illogical when it is digital content, and free content. The premises behind that is that players get to say "not everyone has what I have, that makes me feel unique". That doesn't even matter since MILLIONS of players still ended up with the content anyway.

Collectors edition content makes more sense since you pretty much pay for it, less people have it so you get that feeling somewhat more. In gtav's case, it isn't even top preforming cars that SE buyers got, an average car, average bike, and one novelty car(the only real unique vehicle included) its pathetic really.

Something more personal: By no means am I salty, but I wish I could have gotten the liberator and a certain valentines day shirt. At the time I had no XB live since it ran out. I have the gta cash for damn sake, and people buy shark cards, what a way to undermine peoples real life money and limit what they can do with it.

who told you we dont?

Cadbury_Creme_Egg_Original_Chocolate_Car

I dont know about anyone else, But As much as I would love to use a Hot Knife, I also know being a CE vehicle, we might not get it and thats fine with me. I wanted the cars, but hated the extra crap and price tag so my loss. The vehicles that came out valentines and what not. I like the idea of them being seasonal and new players who werent able to get them would have slight differences, But then we really have no control of what will be released.
