Other than the obvious body difference, is there anything that separates the Liberator and the Marshall? I have 3 Marshalls (I paid for 1 of them - thanks Rockstar) so I don't see the point in me getting the Liberator, or am I missing something?

IIRC correctly are the Liberator and Marshall not based on different trucks?

Marshall is based off El Camino monster truck version and the Liberator is based off a real life Ford truck of some description?

Unless you want two different looking trucks there is not much point to having both especially since you have to call them both from Pegasus.

I didn't buy a Liberator because I didn't like the paint job, too American for my liking. Bought a Marshall instead.

I seem to have something stuck to my wheels.

The cars with big tires can float, if they are light enough. This depends on what tires they are using, too.

Monster trucks use heavy tires for traction and big engine blocks placed in the centre of gravity, as they have a relatively high center of gravity and tend to tip over. I bet they are a bitch to steer.

They are heavy, too.

The pneumokhods have light baloon tires, light framework and not much engine power (it`s the the transmission that gives them the torque), this is why they are also slow on land, when they aren't swimming.

Here's better question for this thread...Who has bought both the Marshall and Liberator?

Also, US vs Canada in the video. lol just had to say it.

I bought both of them, mostly because, well, I could! But when i do call in for one, I usually call in for the Marshall.

I notice no difference between them, but I like driving what looks more like a standard truck than the decorative one.

Of course, that will change this weekend! July 4th = Liberator mayhem for everybody! :)

I bought both of them too. I've already gotten my Independence Day outfit on, even though event starts tomorrow. The Liberator and Sovereign are already discounted.

I still have it but i don't use it to often. And if i do, its always in passive mode. The main problem i have with it, is the fact that it has the weight of a Panto, bounces around off cars like a beachball and doesn't crush vehicles like it should. Its a freakin monster truck that doesn't crush cars. What kind of logic is that? Typical R*

Also as much as i love the whole American flag theme 'i really do' I'm dutch but IMO no country has a flag that looks even close to as good as the the US flag looks. I would rather have it on another truck in a more subtle way.

Like the IRL USA-1 monster truck. The first monster truck champion ever and IMO the best looking monster truck ever and one of the fastest of its time. It pretty much was the truck that set the base for todays fast monster trucks.

Even have a 1/8 scale rc nitro powered version of it.

And a propper pickup monster truck would be more then welcome as well.

I have 8 that are 1/8 scale right now all running on nitro. 6 of them are Kyosho USA-1's 'tires on these are even fatter then those on a clodbuster', a Kyosho Megaforce and Carson Black Phantom.

Going to Monster Jam this saturday.

Soooooooo jealous. I've always wanted to go. I used to watch it on TV ALL THE TIME..

And I miss my truck. I was like, 11 or 12, I was playing with it in front of my grandmas house while I was there for the weekend and these group of f*cktards booted it and smashed it to sh*t. They took off, the f*cks. I was so pissed. My dad got it for my birthday a few weeks before. I didn't even do anything to them and they just booted it repeatedly, f*cked it up beyond repair. :(

Legitly cried over it for weeks..

That sucks ass.. If you ever want to pick up the hobby again though, i would get the all new Kyosho Madforce Kruiser V2 Nitro '1/8 scale' . I'm going to buy one next year. Just spend quite a bit on this vintage late 80's NIB monster truck.

64.jpg

Note as its an late 80's Nitro monster truck, it says 1/10 on the box. However its bigger then todays 1/8 scale nitro trucks. It has the best available engine option that you could buy this model with as well. All new and sealed.

Now on topic, IMO the Liberator/Marshall really need some new monster-truck ish wheels. Talking rims and tires, because current wheels simply look a bit odd.

They should look like this:

No Use For A Name

I'm tempted to buy this. Where does it spawn when I call Pegasus? I'm not interested if I have to drive halfway across the map to actually use it

Nearest vehicle spawn. It always spawns nearby.

I just wish you could paint it and get rid of the current decal.

Nah its fine as it is. Nobody wants to see monster trucks driving around with swaggy white wall donk rims and some ugly chrome color.

Flew up to Paleto because I wanted to do some off-roading. It spawned near the police station. There was a CEO at Beeker's so I jacked a Gresley, which of course was a Simeon vehicle. Got to the Liberator as cops were shooting at me, then I spent the next 15 minutes running over cops. The CEO started watching and eventually hopped in. Got up to 4 stars without ever leaving passive.

I love this thing

You could likely spend an entire session running over cop cars in The Liberator, taking little damage.

Only police helicopters will end your run, because they are such incredibly well-trained marksmen up there. <sigh>

But, yeah, if there's any question about whether this vehicle is fun or not, well, it is. I don't use mine every session, but when I do, it's hee haw time! :)

I believe back in the old days of PS4, there was a glitch to have a Marshall PV. But thats long since patched and blacklisted. It would be awesome to have as a PV though. Fits in the garage quite good as well.

If u spend time in Paleto Bay the Pegasus spawns are very convenient. It's the only time I actually call my Marshall (1st char) or Liberator (2nd char).

I was just doing this last night! I've been on a Marshall/Liberator kick again this week and having a blast!

I wish they would've made it harder for other players to shoot you in it, though, because it's too easy to get killed and have someone drive off with it.

Stupidest thing is allowing us to lock players out of our personal vehicles – even our bicycles can't be stolen – yet, anyone can steal your Pegasus junk.

Grrr! :)

Necrobump here, for relevance...

The last few sessions, I've been using nothing but my Liberator again.

Except, instead of getting caught up in the usual shenanigans and hijinks, I've been exploring as though it were the only vehicle in the game.

Honestly, and maybe I've said it before, but it makes the game feel new again when you go in with a totally different purpose, other than "boom-$$-run-boom-$$-run."

Here's a couple of pics from my recent adventures. Curious if anyone else enjoys this thing as much as I do? Cheers! :)

It was a good audition, but unfortunately, my Liberator didn't get the lead.

It's amazing when you go off the grid, so to speak, what you find and who you run into. These guys were just wandering on a hillside.
