Phone and Banking options

In story mode our three protagonists have their own unique phone and each have their own bank account with their own bank. Should the option exist where our online character can pick their phone such as the Drone and Facade over the iFruit? Furthermore, should this extend towards choosing their own bank such as the Bank of Liberty, Fleeca or Blaine County Savings Bank over the default Maze Bank? Perhaps incentives such as banking with Fleeca would offer better interest rates than the Bank of Liberty or vice versa would convince people to choose their unique bank.

I would probably go with this. If they made Franklin's phone available to choose for online, I would choose it any day over the iFruit.

Actually the latest patch made it so my car gets dirty after 5 f*cking seconds, don't matter if I just came out of the carwash or LS customs.

Can't drive around the block without looking like somebody puked on my windows goddammit!

[edit2] Actually forgot to respond to the OP: I'd actually love that idea, the phone change could work without any hassle, just pick a different skin for it pretty much.

Not sure how much of a pain in the ass it would be to let everybody have their own bank though, especially with different interest rates and such.

I'm just gutted that we can't choose our phone model in online as I'd much rather have the Windows phone like I do in real life.. (thinking about it, what does that say about me if I'm using the same kind of phone as Trevor in real life?!? o.0 )

I actually prefer using atm's in game than the mobile bank. I also use the car wash occasionally.

 

On Topic: It would be cool but if they added it right now I'd get pretty annoyed because there are quite a few changes to be made and things to be added which should have priority over your suggested feature.

Agree that phone banking makes ATM's useless, and only being able to use ATM's would mean some moments of blind panic trying to bank your cash before a mugger shows up, or you get killed. Like when you get that message saying you are carrying over 5k cash, this can be stolen. I dont think it can, not all of it. It should be though, hence the important of ATM's

different styles of phones is not a bad idea.

 

anything but R* messing with banking... i just can imagine them adding the banking features OP want, resulting in all your banked money to disappear in classic R* fashion!

OT I'm fine with my ifruit phone as I own a real iPhone 4 IRL and Idc about the banks tbh

The current phone is OK. I don't mind it. But I do like to use the ATM's. Also when you get to one, if a NPC is using it, you can just 'move them along' with a baseball bat and they drop extra cash. Bonus!!

I haven't banked my cash in a long, long time. It doesn't bother me how much money I drop when killed(which isn't that much anyway). They should update that in-game phone with new features on new gen consoles like better quality pics and maybe even short video clips

I've stopped using my phone for transactions because its just rediculous to be able to magic hard cash into the bank, I like the challenge of dashing to a cash point without getting killed after completing missions. It would also be good in my opinion if cash could be stolen and not the measesly amount that gets dropped - obviously rockstar won't do that because of 'gifting' large amounts of money.

 

Car washes aren't that great, I was expecting a couple of ladies with sponges, lots of splashing and innuendos of having my hood washed. Instead a cutscene of our scratched and dented cars with me shaking my head thinking about all the rust thats going to be caused.
