Why are there no heavy-set people in GTAO?

From a gameplay and customisation point of view, it could be an interesting feature...

As long as you cannot run, climb fences, fit in most cars etc.

Maybe Rockstar could give us Burger Shots and the Relax Power X Motorized Scooted in a future patch.

EDIT: What's the point in this thread idea anyway? It's not like we get the option to edit our characters without glitching. You'd have to make a new character.

really bruh?

fat_video_game_characters_3.jpg

excuse me sir, i beg to differ

Those are NPC bystanders, not real playable characters. So the message Rockstar is sending is that others can be fat just not you? That's discrimination, it's fatist, and quite honestly it's ridiculous. Rockstar has no right to limit what weight our characters can and can't be.

To make up for this Rockstar needs to release a dlc where everyone is fat so everybody can know how it feels.

Nah, R* didn't implemented this feature because the online launch was rushed and I believe it would take a lot of time to render every piece of clothing to fit every player, then there's clipping issues with cars, weapons, parachutes, etc...

BTW, I'm fat(96,7kg - 1,79m) and I approve this idea, but having this implemented into next gen is wishful thinking...

As an obese gentleman myself, I was loathed to hear that GTAO does not include anyone who is a little on the heavier side. Everyone in the game is thin and well-built. Why is this?

I think it's because Rockstar is in the UK and they don't have any fat people over there.

I think a more broadly fitting question would be "why don't we have anything but a rather skinny crackhead-looking character body model". There's just no variety or realism in this. And they seem to have, I don't know, kind of a 'teenage' look to their proportions. Looks fine if your playing a character that's supposed to be, like, 20. But not a man. Where's the muscle. For a character that potentially works out 8 hours a day, their body mass is pathetic. No wonder so many player character pics look like they've just had their arses handed to them in a fight, or haven't eaten in days or are having problems taking in protein. There are a range of body types we should be seeing (and that should be affected by age and the stats we fiddle with when making the char.) but sadly this game just leaves a lot to be desired in the character customization department... though the whole character creation system is pretty sh*t anyway.

I would like to see fat hookers and strippers implemented also. Not all of us like stick figure crack whores. Some like a little cusioning.

I heard the reason there are no heavy set people in the game has something to do with the volley ball net.

I would like the option to make an overweight character. Every game that lets you create a character should have this as an option. I always find it disappointing when they don't.

Is this The Guy?

While awaiting the launch of Gta Online in October of last year my initial plan was to create a short and chunky character and have him rock suits.

I of course couldn't

Lol, our characters already have rotation and turning speeds on par with people that weigh well above 250-300 lbs, might as well give us the body size to be in sync with the slow animations. Our characters are not agile at all...

Quite frankly, its annoying of how long it takes to simply turn in a different direction, pick yourself up after a fall, or any other animation in this game. Your average Joes and Janes in real life are far more agile than any controllable character in this game, especially the world-class athletes that are our Online avatars.

Even fat CJ responded faster than every character in GTA V.

Lazy devs

Have to resize clothes and make diffrent hitboxes for players

Larger hit boxes would also mean that heavy set players would be at a disadvantage in free aim, so then you'd just have the fat characters complaining they die more easily.

Because it's hollywood. Only go obese when you retire.

Animate more than one or two character cycles? That'd take work! You dare ask us to put effort into GTA O? - R*

In reality, think of something like the fat biker ped from GTA IV or even some of fat CJ from SA. If you want to give the player all logical swimming, vaulting, jumping, sprinting animations for equal gameplay, it's hard to make it look credible or even avoid basic clipping...

Or in case this is a joke topic, YEAH, WTF R*?!

(And the UK's obesity percentage is only 3% behind the US's, not that those supercilious limey c*nts would admit to it)

Where are you getting those numbers from? I'm reading 64% for the UK and 70% for the US. If it's fact, we don't need to admit to anything so you're not making much sense there. I think your hate for the UK is blinding you. You probably just don't like us to get on the bandwagon, I don't see any reason to judge us all like that.

Instead of making things change to suit you, why don't you change to be like your character and benefit from it too?

High metabolism, like me in real life. Easy in, (mostly) easy out. Hopefully no strain no pain no gain lol!

Oh, once I saw a chubby lady standing outside a pub, smoking a fag, beer in hand, with a white t-shirt emblazoned with the british flag on the front. Says it all really.

In a perfect world, I would agree 100%, but there's got to be a number of members that have physical imparities and disorders that prevent them from being physically fit. :/

Right! In real life, I'm a fat, long haired, bearded biker! In the game I want my character to be a fat, long haired, bearded biker!

UK and no fat people? from an american point of view maybe... from an european (mainland) point of view the UK is an island of pure butter. their #1 solution to the pensionproblem is their foodplan.
