Initially read this as go back 5 years, if that was the case I'd tell myself to not spend the money on alcohol, because that's a ridiculously stupid idea. Also start doing these projects now, not in 5 years time ya dumb kid.

Give a damn about your grades, you might have gotten a bit more on your plate doing so.

Never hang out with those dudes you considered best friends, they were toxic and broke you in a couple of years time.

Spend more time with who you would consider your best friends now.

Have more fun, don't try to grow up so fast. I think a lot of us who have lost a family member and been through extraordinary issues at a young age tend to try to grow up too fast. For me it was losing a family member and having a poor relationship with my father due to his drinking (though now it is much better) that made me not want to really ever be a regular teenager when I was that age.
