Bennington
Hey guys, so I kinda sorted out why I wasn't able to login at GTAGarage, it's an issue somehow related with my network. I used three different devices (PC, Notebook, Smartphone) over that network, login failed on all of them. I then took my smartphone and notebook to my university and logged in from the network there, which worked perfectly on both.I really have no effin clue how my network is able to block me out of a specific site. This issue seemed to appear some time this year between April and June (maybe by an update of the site?), and I wasn't able to identify it yet.Is there someone else who encountered this issue already? Are networks somehow able to block out cookies or something? (GTAForums works though, as you can already see) My router is a Hitron CVE-30360, which is a complete bullsh*t piece of hardware in my eyes. Since it's out of reach in my house, I switched another WiFi router connected to it by LAN, working as a repeater in between. This can't be the problem though, as it also fails when directly connected to the main router. The only thing I can imagine is that port forwarding doesn't work properly, as my WAN has an IPv6-address, not an IPv4 one. But I also can't imagine how this can influence my login process though. If anyone has a clue, please tell me. Thanks in advance, Bennington Edited October 8, 2014 by Bennington
Bennington
Okay since I'm always connected over Wi-Fi to my network, I tried it with a LAN cable today, and it worked actually fine(!) What bothers me now is, how the LAN and the Wi-Fi connection differ in their security settings... Accessing the routers options is a pain in the ass, since the direct connection to it is really slow until not working, strangely. Anyway I guess it's problem I only can fix on my own, since noone seemed to have an idea on this topic yet... Well, but is GTANet using any specials ports or protocols for login processes? Anything that can be blocked by an access point??
uNi
I think it on your end, any other issues related to it? Like other websites.
Bennington
Nope, everything else works fine actually. I can't understand why my router would block GTAGarage in particular...
