Console and ISP banned? - YouDareYouDie

Hey

 

I havn't played GTA V now in around two months, i was console banned for modding/glitching, yes i know, I'm a little bad boy. I accepted this, however i have a new PS3 now i have been trying now for a week, My Internet Service Provider says my ISP/IP has been banned from PSN.

 

That means i cannot even use another PS3 ever again ONLINE.

 

I spoke to Playstation & Rockstar, they are both saying the ban has been put in place for the foreseeable future and a un-ban is very unlikely due to my 'breach of security and interfering with other players gameplay'

 

What the f*ck they smoking, security? I modded the game, I'm not a mastermind hacker.

 

Is the only option to change internet service providers?

 

As if that is it, i will just change providers.

Wouldn't your account itself still be banned even if you change ISPs? I guess you would have to create a whole new account as well.

His account is not banned because I can access it on my PS3. I was able to sign into Psn with his email and password and play as his charachter online... So im not sure exactly what kind of ban he has. Switching isp may work if I can access your account on my PS3. Possible just canceling service and then open a new account will change your IP address ??? Or even just switching it over to a new name would start a new account...

 

Could be not banned from PSN but only banned from accessing PSN through your current ISP? not sure

 

That sucks bro I never thought they took it that far for some glitches.

Only your IP can be banned. They can't ban an entire ISP or even k-line an ISP, which is essentially blocking everyone in your area.

You need to go onto your internet modem,router settings and change your ip or rewire your console setting to think its on a different ip and you should be fine. Hopefully you'll be out of PSN Jail. :-)

I'm guessing that Sony/Playstation also "marked" the console as well. Sort of like an infection, if you just switch IPs but keep the same PS3, the new IP is banned (for a while, at least), while if you just get a new PS3 but same IP/PSN, that PS3 gets banned & marked as well. Probably going to require a new console, PSN and IP address...

 

 

Or, if you know what you're doing, maybe just a new PSN and IP...

I'm sure there will be something somewhere on the web about it.

Probably going to be a pain to do...

Well I don't think there is anything you can do. All you can do is not mod your games next time if you want to be able to play with other people.
