This is why I can't have nice things

I'm saving up for a bus and it's taking forever since I suck at videogames. But this certainly isn't helping either:

 

-Launch Titan of a Job mission

-Guy with a modded supercar (who didn't even know where the airport was) gets in the Titan first, doesn't know how to take off so he just drives the plane off the runway into the ocean.

-Second attempt--same guy takes the Titan again, manages to get in the air, pauses to check the map or something and nose dives into the ocean again.

-Third attempt--THE SAME GUY gets the titan, turns it completely sideways in the bunker and gets out. When I get in to try and fly, it just blows up and says I did it.

-Fourth attempt--Guy brings a buzzard to shoot rockets at the enemies, blows up the Titan.

-Fifth attempt--Guy with buzzard lands next to me to pick me up and take me to the airport you have to land the Titan at. He lands on rocks, so when I step out I get killed by the helicopter blades.

 

BUT AT LEAST THEY SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERED THE TITAN.

I did titan of a job today with randoms and two of them got buzzards. Fortunately they didn't blow up the titan in the process. Although when they got the buzzards I wondered why they were using them when I always play the mission with the heavy sniper and carbine rifle.

A pet peeve of mine on the Titan mission is when I'm flying the plane towards Fort Zucado and my passengers keep setting markers for Sandy Shores Airfield. I KNOW that's where we're headed, people, but I need to skirt to the west so I can land on the runway. I can't just fly straight at the marker and stop on a dime, you know

The best thing is when they run straight to the Titan and don't have sense enough to wait for someone to move the semi out of the way first.

 

I guess they think they can just ram straight through it, but instead everything blows up.

People getting Buzzards on Misisons where it's not needed is annoying.

 

But what's even more annoying, and hilarious actually. Is when people spend literally weeks getting a Tank, and by the time they have even reached the Destination, I'm already half-way done or I've actually done the Mission. It happened on Chemical Extraction before, guy spent ages getting the Tank, I did the Mission, got the Van and he did jack sh*t.

I had a day off work today and spent most of it playing random contact missions to make money. Here is a summary of today's most annoying players:

 

Whilst playing Titan of a job, some guy just drives around the airport not helping with the enemies at all. Then steals the titan as soon as everyone else had done the hard work. Then when he tries to land at the desert airstrip he approaches it at a 45 degree angle and basically dive bombs into the mission marker and blows up. Don't think he did it on purpose though, I think he just couldn't fly. From memory he was a low level, around 15 or so.

 

Whilst playing rooftop rumble a guy with a bright yellow and pink adder manages to kill me and another player with a pink rocket launcher. We were taking cover either side of the car park entrance and he shoots a rocket straight between us. He later kills himself with the rocket launcher by shooting an enemy car that is right in front of him. The one remaining player managed to finish the mission though.

 

Another time on rooftop rumble a guy in a lime green Zentorno gets the documents and decides he is going to drive to Paleto bay instead of madrazzo's house. A second player blows him up after chasing him around Paleto bay, destroying the documents.

 

On the mission where you have to steal a biker van from the wind farm for Trevor a guy decides to park his Zentorno across the entrance to Trevor's garage. When another player tries to deliver the van he steals the van from him and drives it into the lake, failing the mission.

 

Finally whilst playing potshot some guy in a black Zentorno with a badly drawn batman logo on the side blocks the entrance to Trevor's garage and just sits there honking his clown horn meaning I can't deliver the van. I get pissed off and blow him up. I had to pay his insurance but at least I finished the mission.

Titan of a job done with relevant competence though I don't grind over and over. I do have 99.9% of missions on my list though usually go with whatever comes up on the voting screen..

Why didn't you just kill the douche after he put the Titan in the ocean the first time? He'd never have gotten away from the warehouse if I was in that session.

My general strategy is to leave the lobby is soon as the mission is completed/failed when I am placed with idiots. If I end up being placed with decent players I tend to stick around as long as possible and keep playing whatever missions appear on the voting screen. To be honest in seems about 50/50 wether you are placed with idiots or decent players.

 

To add to my previous list of annoying players, I just attempted high priority case with three other players. It's the mission where you have to seal a helicopter and get the briefcase from the roof of the mile high club.

 

Let's call the three players by their vehicles. We have yellow and red elegy guy, black Zentorno guy and chrome and red hakuchou guy.

 

When we start we are on the a bridge above the highway north of downtown. We all rush to our cars except elegy guy who seems to have gone AFK. Zentorno guy decides to repeatedly run over elegy guy to get a response. Whilst doing this Zentorno guy manages to crash into my Massacro and knock hakuchou guy off his bike. Elegy guy ends up being knocked off the bridge onto the highway below, at which point he decides to actually start playing.

 

We all get in our vehicles and head out. All three of them obviously hadn't read the mission description as they head straight to the mile high club whilst I go and get a helicopter from the helipad between the airport and Vespucci beach. Somehow hakuchou guy manages to die on the way to the mile high club, I guess he crashed.

 

I fly a helicopter over to the mile high club to find all three players underneath it wondering how the get to the objective. I land as close as possible to all of them. Hakuchou guy runs over and gets in. Elegy guy hasn't noticed me and is still running around underneath the club whilst ironically Zentorno guy seems to have gone AFK on top of his upside down Zentorno. Elegy guy sees me and comes running over. Instead of getting in the helicopter he throws me out and takes off without me. So I'm left stuck at the bottom of the tower.

 

I look up to see what's happening. The helicopter is now over the objective. Hakuchou guy tries to jump out the helicopter but ends up splatting against the roof of the tower and dies. Elegy guy tries to land on the roof and is almost instantly shot dead. So that just leaves me and Zentorno guy, who is still AFK on top of his upside down Zentorno.

 

I decide it is time to quit the mission. But apparently according to rockstar logic that makes me a bad sport. Oh well...

My question is why anyone does any job other than Los Santos Connection? The mission payout setup helps this mission and the coke is 8K on top of that. Or why people do Survivals instead of LSC. Solo - 28k every time.

Bloody Huntley suggests running over everybody in missions and just doing the job yourself, ensuring it gets done right the first time.

I join random contact missions for entertainment. Having done every single contact mission a hundred times, they tend to get a little stale. I love watching inexperienced players f*ck things up.

 

I usually hang back and pick up the pieces if the mission objective hasn't been destroyed. Sometimes the spectators leave, other times they stick around and learn a thing or two.

Try 2. Guy puts a grenade on "my lazer". Mission fail.

 

Try 3. New teammate. Don't know what happen, but he died 2 minutes in.

 

Try 4. I carry. Think all but three kills was mine. Land my jet. Other plater dive into the ground.....

Hard exit the game. Not sure how it is on Xbox but simplz hold down the PS button and exit the game, then get back and hit X to go directly to Online.

the damn trees at the edge will catch the wings if youre unlucky or they dont render properly to avoid them.

 

I used to use that runway but after a couple of random fails here and there I just don't trust it anymore.
