That R* will implement a system that kicks players from game lobbies if they're clearly inactive and farming a mission?

 

I think it most likely will happen in the future, and yes, I know of the ability to vote to kick people.

 

My question is, do you guys think this is coming in a future patch/update and what is your opinion on both this and milkers in general!?

EDIT: This includes players that have systems in place to prevent the auto idle from removing them. If you must rephrase the question to those who don't do anything. during a mission instead and use your efforts to boost up.

 

Shoutout to Marc30499 for listing one exploit I didn't know about. If you've got others please do include them!

First off, we already have an idle kick system in place.

 

Second, why should I be kicked from a session that I'm in with my friends just because I played Rooftop Rumble to purchase ammo?

It's what you get for playing with random people. There's always going to be one jackass at a party, and he more then likely came with a friend.

The current idle time should be lowered. For a month they had made it to 10 minutes instead of 15 but they made it 15 again when the next patch came up.

Also some ways to fix it that I thought of in the other thread that will probably never come to be.

 

I can think of a few solutions.

 

Give a notification to players the way Deathmatch does it when the player is away. "[Player username] is idle, Player Menu can be used to report or vote to remove"

 

Reduce the idle kick time severely. Make it 10 minutes in Free Mode, 5 minutes in any job.

 

Detect repetitive inputs for rubber bands, macros or stuck controllers to count as idle.

 

Make idle kick and reports more important to the Bad Sport system.

 

Make the idle timer subtract and sum time instead of resetting when players move. Example. The way it is, if a player afk for 5 minutes, if they just nudge a stick or press a button it the timer resets back to 15 minutes. If the timer added active time and subtracted idle time the player would need to be active for the same time they were idle to recover all the idle timer. That way that nudge or button press would only add a second.

 

Reward players for doing objectives. Say if the a player didn't kill enemies, capture or get near the objective, their reward is less than those that did.

 

Players that went idle at any time are defaulted to free play in the post game screen. Playlist or not.

Bro I like adding humor to my poll questions. I have no opinion really since I'm more than capable of doing a mission with one other person anyway.

 

If I was to give an opinion I'd do it with a paragraph filled with reasonable logic. Never assume anything.

No thread isn't pointless because you must not know about the glitch with the in game cellphone that allows players to bypass idle timer... Edited by Marc30499

Yup. Pointless thread is pointless.

No thread isn't pointless because you must not know about the glitch with the in game cellphone that allows players to bypass idle timer... I did not know this. Noted for use when I go to eat while playing GTAO.

If I don't have any friends or crew mates online, those lazy players come in handy because I get more RP if they're present. Also, if I do the work, I get the RP from the kills and delivering the mission objective.

 

If my friends or crew mates are joined by a random in a mission and they look like they're just going to idle while we do all the work, we kick that person.

 

My honest opinion: This is a non issue that does not require any changes from the game developer. It can be completely avoided by playing with friends, crew mates or by one's self.

Doesn't seem like much of an issue to be dealt with.

It doesn't affect Shark Card sales.
