Increased Shark Card Advertising in update?

I'm wondering if anyone else has been getting these annoying messages.

 

They've always directed you from lobbies to xbox store when you don't have enough money to purchase ammo.

 

.... but now I'm seeing notifications for simply running out of ammo, just for one gun during freeroam.

 

Unless my eyes are fooling me or they've always been there and I just havn't noticed them.

Yea, it's always been there. Used to see it pop most of the time during the earlier days of GTA O when trying to buy clothing/run out of ammo/upgrading cars etc as I was too broke.

Yes. I guess this doesn't usually happen since I try to keep fully stocked.

 

It's weird because at least in mission lobbies you're trying to earn money and might want more ammo to complete a mission in the first place.

 

If my character runs out of money I just play the game and go to a mission, but now I keep getting notified to straight-up buy shark cards to continue freeroaming.

White night lol... I love it .. thank you... but really you over estimate me, its just common sence, somthing that is badly lacking around this place...

 

Find me one thread on these forums where shark cards have been discussed amicably... there isnt one, always ends up in "R* are trying to rob us" flaming session...

 

Anyone who posts such a thing on these forums knows how its going to end up, and that alone makes me question the motive for starting a thread about the suposed increase in shark card advertising ingame...

 

Why would this bother him? Its not interfering with game play, and if your that broke on a regular bassis to the point where your getting these messages enough to annoy you, shark cards are damn good idea...

 

Do you expect a company to put money into creating and setting up a product and not advertise it? Its not like cards are being rammed down our throats, its advertised in the right circumstances and situations, not once has my experience in gta been negatively effected by shark cards, I could understand if there was popups during game play, but we aren't are we.. its very discreetly done..

 

Like I said no one who plays gta:o has been squeezed to part with a penny more than the initial game purchase, we are getting regular updates for free so I dunno you tell me the problem.

No one is arguing shark cards shouldn't exist (although some people probably believe that), just that the OP is unfamiliar with that particular tactic of advertising them. He was informed. He accepted the fact and called them tacky.

I have no idea about his motive to create this thread.

 

What I do know is that Rockstar founder Sam Houser is planning on knighting you for you bravery when defending Rockstar on the front lines.
