the enviroment can provide some great cover, but the minigun in my opinion is one of the best weapons in gtao, it can tearup a chopper in less then a minute.

Right. So many players just stand out in the open, never using their surroundings to their advantage. Is it the ultimate weapon? No. Utilizing ALL of the tools at your disposal is.

I thought to ask you guys about this when I was being double teamed by a couple of guys earlter. They were doing a number on me until they chased me by the Strip Club, a place I'm super familiar with thanks to the DM Catching Shots. I then turned the tables on 'em. I pissed 'em off so they pulled out jets and miniguns. Still couldn't kill me. Anyways, this isn't a bragging thread.

 

I know there have been many times I've escaped jets and Buzzards just 'cause I knew where I was.

 

I've also been slaughtered in places that I don't know.

 

Using the environment is the best way to stay alive and a pretty good way to kill people.

Guerilla Warfare man. If there is a tree that will be your best friend for cover, if it could stop a car, it can block bullets and sometimes rockets.

The ultimate weapon in this game is knowing your Interaction Menu forward and backwards.

5 down for "Passive Mode"

1 up for "Kill Yourself"

7 down for "Request Personal Vehicle"

6 down for "Highlight Player"

Same with your phone options.

Up, Left, X, Down, X, Down, X, X to start a Quick Race and warp across the map.

Up, Up, Right, X, Up, Up, Up, Up, X to get your destroyed car back.

 

Since 1.17, Passive Mode isn't what it used to be.
But knowing this stuff kept me from getting killed by other players just fine.
