TJGM Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) The modding section over the past few months has been FLOODED with spam from so many new members and previously inactive members, and nothing has been done about it after several reports.The two main culprits the past 2 weeks have been @HPro & @jochuan. Both have bumped topics (warned by members for it but continue to do so), spammed topics (warned by members COUNTLESS times but continue to do so) and they've broken other rules like not speaking in English, which could also fall under spam. It seems like both of them are using Google Translate to speak in English, which makes the forum look messy and half of the time you can't understand them.The modding section overall has one active led-by, which is @Silent. The rest of the led-by's don't even visit the modding sections anymore or simply don't use their led-by status well enough. The other problem is, I don't think a single moderator visits the modding sections at all, and if they do its not often enough to keep the place clean. A simple fix for all of this would be to make Silent a mod (he should be trustworthy enough by now), and give more people led-by status in the modding sections. Guys like @Ash_735, , @Wesser, @ThirteenAG, etc.. have been around long enough and are active enough in that section that they should have the ability to keep the place they visit probably most on the forum, clean from spammers. The current led-by's aren't all that active; except for Silent. And he isn't doing the best of jobs to discourage new members from going off-topic/spamming, but rather joining in and encouraging the behaviour (even if he does eventually clean it all up). Hell, I was talking to a global moderator about some guy who used non-rockstar stuff in his mods that was evidently overlooked by silent, nevermind the fact that I reported him a good deal of times. That and the fact that you can find the same kind of stuff on the gtagarage that, after reporting it, it's still there. I dunno how much power ledbys have compared to regular moderators but regardless, either there needs to be more people clamping down on that and other mod thief in general or the ones who're already there really need to get their priorities in order. savidge and lpgunit 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However even if we had 100 led-bys for the modding section we still would rely heavily on member reports. So for now Report report report and try to provide as much detail as possible in your reports. Offending members will be dealt with. Silent Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 You see, I can't always stop one from spamming. Especially if the person reposts after their previous spam posts have been hidden. And we have no direct means of punishing a member with a warning or a temporary ban. PM work in most cases, except when the person apparently ignores everything and everyone (not pointing at anyone directly but it should be obvious) On a side note, now with my 'proper' connection again I can start to react at reports and such.
