Anybody think that R*'s way of getting content to verify is unfair

While curious about the LTS creator contest, I decided to check the newswire and read the competitions terms and conditions. And here's what I saw:

"Evaluation. The theme for this event is Last Team Standing. The 30 Jobs tagged for this event on each platform with the most likes will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Creativity 50% and Originality 50%. Evaluations are in Rockstars sole discretion."

So by the looks of it, the only way you would stand a chance of even getting a look in by R* for your map to get played (and thus the only real way of getting a verified) is to get about 3000 likes on my/our maps in the events 3 day period.

But let's be honest. I understand that they will be thousands of these maps, but the only ways you would get over even 100 likes on a map in that time is by either getting a "popular" YouTube video featuring it (basically beg domislive or icrazyteddy to feature it in a video that's VERY unlikely), or getting a large crew to play and constantly thumbs it up non stop :/ especially seeing as hosting a game yourself gets either nobody joining, those that do join quitting instantly, or all losers disliking the map just out of spite :(

Like I said they would be thousands of maps, but surely there's gotta be more ways for R* to do these competitions that will actually give the average joe's like you or me a chance to actually get an HM at least, instead of just having the 30 biggest glitch maps (sky ramps, modded vehicle lobbies, etc) or biggest youtubers maps being the only ones to actually get a chance in taking part in the competition?

Well I guess this explains how all the sh!tty maps get verified now atleast, seeing as the oh-so-origional maps like "JUMPS JUMPS JUMPS", "we you stepped in dooty" (seriously WTF kinda name was that?) and "Prison thugs fight" maps would have been heavily featured on YouTube vids back in the early creator days (hence getting 12 year olds to spam like them)

Oh yeah, link to terms and conditions:

Yeah not only that, they even ignore contests now.

The last Creator Contest which was the Flight School Challenge where you had to make an air race got completely forgotten. Lots of people made and tagged their air races only for no winners or news to be announced. It's been over a month and nothing. I take it those custom flight school licence plates will be kept in the dust.

But given what you said, I completely agree. The bad crowd is getting all the attention and influence while everyone else gets dismissed. Most GTA youtubers are tasteless close minded fools who appeal their content to arrogant children.

Even so, people never seem to join any lobbies because all they care about are glitch/money methods in making the most money in the shortest amount of time, they don't even play the game for fun anymore.

Beside that, there's the whole 1.000.000 $$$ spawn camping Deathmatches which are the worst. People then seem to get the impression that all Creators are horrid. And now, since the last update, Rockstar killed the Creator even more by restricting all interiors, disallowing spawn points being placed on props and limiting us from jumping and climbing.

Everything seems to be wrong.

- Rockstar are only appealing to the bad crowd.

- Youtubers are promoting horrible jobs.

- Rockstar keep killing the Creator with each update.

- Terrible jobs keep getting verified.

- Those who actually make quality content can't get anyone in their lobbies. Many good Creators I know have this issue.

- Jobs like ''1million RP!!!'' which are fake and lag-ridden melee Deathmatches keep getting thousands of likes/plays.

- Rockstar Creator Contests are pretty much rigged.

It's a miracle that the descent Creators are still struggling to build matches through all of this bullsh*t. It's a disgrace.

ew you stepped in doody is a decent technical track is all I have to add

Haven't played it nor am I ever planning on it until he changes that title. Match titles and descriptions are usually the first impression. This one specifically comes off as immature and pathetic.

I think it's related to his name as is all his content

But you my friend have over 3000 races under your belt :) are you sure you don't just think it's good due to how many times you've been forced to race it?

UGC jobs don't accrue likes, dislikes and plays - when played as part of a playlist either.

Rockstar has an obvious monopoly on jobs - they are the only jobs (aside from verified jobs) that appear on the next job voting screen.

They should allow content creators with more than 12 jobs to build their own Next Job voting screens.

Search SC for All Publishers/Last Team Standing/ with tag LTS and sort by likes - that's the 30 jobs they will look at - mine is #3 with just a few hundred plays. It won't be verified I'm sure.

All weekend the LTS jobs would crash if there were more than a dozen or so players. I filled my LTS job with 16 players probably more than 50 times - 90% of the time the job would crash after the first round - meaning everyone was kicked and nobody could like or dislike it.

They have a game that is too big for them to handle. The only time you can full up a UGC job with strangers is when there is a 2X Event... Otherwise good luck getting any plays or likes.

Don't bother adding your jobs to playlists if you want ANY stats.

http://rsg.ms/3bbf70c my LTS Peeking Corners is at the top of the list. it was very hard to do without a youtube vid. I'm surprised I'm not tired of playing it yet. haven't had a grind like this since Roof Top Rumble early days. I hope it gets picked!

Give me a break.....

They just pick whatever they pick. there is no real system to it.

Just like zorvane pointed out, they dont even remember their own contests....the hipster contest they asked us to submit jobs with the new weapons...HELLOOOOO??? We cant set any of our jobs to new weapons!

it is almost like R* cashed in their checks, checked out and left the interns to run the place since the high life update.

Totally agree with that OP - I made an LTS and tried to get it going and managed to get a lobby of 6 people one time, but since i've have struggled massively! The matchmaking is sooooo bad and it means that there is no incentive to make custom jobs unless the creator has a big following.

Dom, I'd love for you to host my tank griefing tdm and give it a 10/10 rating. Kids love it!

Just kidding.

Honestly I have some good races and a few TDMs you can do, no griefing involved!

But seriously, do my awesome totally perfect, completely rational 100.000.0.0.0.0.0$ 70.0.0.0.0.0rp tdm

They go by play count and likes. Which is why all these sh*tty crews played their crewmates rigged dms and get them verified. It's a shame.

Have some pride.... You don't need recognition from a lying, thieving youtuber with a god complex. There are better ways of getting plays/likes than this. Especially from him.

I cant get anyone to join my jobs except for my friends. Its kind of annoying.

Blame the ones who made rigged dms and caused people to stop trusting.
