Bounty Hunters More Handicapped Than Ever

I'd say, I claimed the same dudes bounty 4 times over and never got the money

 

thats nothing mate, couple hours ago i killed the same guy 11 times, never go the money, a guy drove by, killed him ONCE and boom..

The Bounty System should not even be in the game as is. An efficient bounty system is a multi-player mode akin to Assissination from Killzone where your team must protect your for 10 minutes while the other team tries to gun for your head. Of course in a map with Forced weapons on. No mini-guns, no RPGs, No Auto-Shotties.

So a team deathmatch, then? These already exist in GTAO.

I would be fine with the radar callouts on planes and helicopters, but what is this crap with instantly jumping to an apartment invite? I'm sick of Rockstar enabling cowardly, unsportsmanlike behavior in the bounty hunting game. Nail them down and make them face the music. No more switching sessions, no more hiding in apartments.

And for crying out loud, autoban people for wall breaching when they are under a bounty! There's no effing excuse for that.

This all amounts to discrimination against a part of the community playing an activity Rockstar created and keeps undermining.

 

I'm clearly not saying they should be banned for every infraction against the bounty system. If you want to join a job, no problem. I think you should pay a fine. Maybe $1k that goes into your bounty reward. If you keep switching, your bounty just keeps going up. Maybe the time period should extend also. Maybe at $20,000, you're finally stopped from running away and you get locked to the session and can't do jobs until the bounty clears. I mean, we can get creative with it. The only banning situations should be when people glitch to troll people coming after their bounty.

 

If it makes any of you feel any better, I bounty hunt with a professional decorum. Once I collect, I LEAVE YOU ALONE. You kill me once for killing you, fair enough. If you were a particularly squirmy opponent or you spawned right next to me, I might even send you a cut of the bounty. The point is, it should be fun for all involved.

And seriously, who can't manage 1k? No problem with spotting them the cash and just adding it to the bounty.

 

Bounty Targets who leave the session or join a job should be penalized

Anybody else sick of bounty targets who cowardly hide in their apartment, wall-breach, or leave the session right when the bounty is placed on their head?

 

Here is what should happen to bounty targets when a bounty is placed on their head...

 

- They cannot be allowed to enter their apartment/garage

- They can leave the session BUT they must pay off the bounty that was placed on them with their own GTA$ and the GTA$ returns to the bounty hunter

- They can join a Job BUT again, they must pay off the bounty that was placed on them with their own GTA$ and the GTA$ returns to the bounty hunter

 

If you're a bounty target either stick it out and fight like a man to all who come after you. Ammu-Nation is there for a reason. Strap-up or shut up.

 

 

What about the poor innocent little level who had his PV blown up by a griefer and steals a car off a random NPC to drive to the impound lot, which happens 99.99% of the time. Does he deserve to be punished by your system? If it applied to player set bounties.. maybe.

 

But why don't you get creative? Why not create a concept, an idea for a new type of game. What about one for people who are into the bounty sh*t and players take turns between having a bounty and being the bounty chaser. Both players invest 10k before the game starts and whoever comes out on top takes away 20k and self sanctification. What happens in the rounds is your choice bud, whether there's a time limit or it's whoever kills who first, your choice. This way you get what you want, and people who don't want to be involved with that sort of game play don't have to be. Your happy and they're happy.

 

This community has a fair share of dickheads but your posts have involved a certain amount of aggression in the way they're worded, if people disagree with you and you have that tone then of course they're going to reply with sass. It's like slapping them in the face. CALM and constructive posts in the future, bud.

More on topic, I'm sort of with OP. I disagree with systems that prevent you from afking in a game. Sometimes grandma falls or you suddenly just really have to sh*t, so being punished for ditching, even when you don't want to sucks. But definetely make bounties more interesting. I'm a tunnel rat anyway. I mastered them long before most, so, outliving a bounty without glitching is no sweat.

as i have said, the point of GTA Oniline is to SURVIVE by any means necessary, if someone has a bounty they have 2 options, either hide in the apartment like a little bit-h or take it on the chin and fight for your life. if you hide in the apartment then by witch point the bounty is gone you could have made alot of cash by doing jobs car requests and car sales.

I did that today for the first time in ages. This little bitch lvl 15 tried shooting me when he thought I wasn't there. Straight up scoped him in the head and killed him four or five times after that. I let him run and then noticed he was going for Simmy's wanted car so I thought I'd get the grenade launcher and teach the little bitch to be more careful when he wants to grief someone next time.

Hahaha that's hilarious. Yeah it's asking too much from a game anyway, especially to be able to differentiate between players with bounties and without, to restrict access. It's not worth hiding inside unless you have to go AFK or something for me, though. Even the highest bounty can be earned twice over in one mission rather than waiting. There should be a restriction on that. You can't join jobs or if you do leave the session you must pay your bounty off using your own GTA$.
