Bounty running is the best way to get the adrenaline hyped up on something really ridiculous. A friend and I will set a 9k bounty on one of ourselves, jump in a car and run like f*ck. Just for a good laugh. He'll blast the Yakety Sax on Everyone chat and shoot while I'm driving. We had half the lobby after us last night. Great fun.

On your post though, sure people hiding in apartments or wall breaches may be real asses, but its only a small amount of bounty targets that do that. And it's not like $9000 is difficult to make. Plus, if it really bothers you so much, go kill a Lester target. They won't complain, they won't really run either.

So you want the people with bounties on them to not protect themselves?

I think they mean stop being cowards e.g. wall breaching and killing players while they can't kill you .Give a chase, I wouldn't mind them camping in a single spot - it's a challenge.

- They cannot be allowed to enter their apartment/garage

- They can leave the session BUT they must pay off the bounty that was placed on them with their own GTA$ and the GTA$ returns to the bounty hunter

- They can join a Job BUT again, they must pay off the bounty that was placed on them with their own GTA$ and the GTA$ returns to the bounty hunter

Oh great, one of you idiots again. Let me go ahead and explain why these ideas would be so f*cking stupid.

- Say it with me. SAFE-HOUSE. It means that i'm SAFE from other people bounty or not. I shouldnt be retricted from going in my SAFEHOUSE just because some loser is butt-hurt over a measley bounty.

-How 'bout No. If i want to play with my friends, or play a different job, i shouldnt have to stay in any lobby that i dont want to just because of some stupid bounty.

Besides, bounty timers stop whenever you play jobs or go in your SAFEHOUSE anyway. If i leave the session while you're trying to kill me, then though sh*t.

Wow guyz we need 2 nerf dem bownteez i cant get monay from killin otha ppl

Seriously, grow up. There are lots and lots of unsuspecting bounties everyday. Maybe there's an unsuspecting guy with a $9000 bounty driving around while you're waiting for a guy hiding in his apartment with a $1000 bounty.

And who does care of the quantity of the bounty? It's better to rack some lower bounties than wasting ammo, explosives and sweat on a higher bounty.

Bounties shouldn't stop people doing missions that would be terrible. There would be $1k bounty griefers forcing people to stay in 'their' cruddy playground and throwing tantrums because 'they' want to chase people for 48 minutes in some boring version of tag because they've lost the use of their legs playing console games all day.

I've had some great bounty chases and been chased myself as many times as I care to remember and it was fun. But if someone leaves then I'm not going to rage tears to steam and blow up my TV with condensation, just carry on playing and enjoy the game finding a more worthy apponant.

Blips.. In single player we didn't get to know the bounty target until we saw them. Following a blip on a map is easy and getting upset because they call Lester seems childish, its tactics built into the game so just deal with it. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

Wall glitches. Yes that's petty on the target, they deserve to be sanctioned.

what really ruins the bounty hunting is the off radar notification...

they really have to remove that sh*t!

How? they still can't see you on the map, if they're watching the radar and see an approaching blip disappear they can be pretty sure its someone hunting them anyway.

It certainly hasn't hindered me in anyway for claiming bounties... maybe you just suck at the game and are looking for something trivial to blame.

i probably do suck at the game!

i normally go off radar atleast 1 mile away from the target, from experience the person with the bounty would either stay in a secluded area unless it detect the presence of other player heading their way.

i have notice that the moment the off radar notification pop up they quickly start running just in case the off radar player is heading their way.

anyway, the off radar notification is nothing but a unnecessary feature like the "double tap snapmatic shortcut", it was not needed.

element of surprise? NO MORE!

Are we not allowed to turn off our consoles or leave GTA Online for any reason either? I mean as soon as we get a bounty, we have to fight to keep it so you can be entertained, apparently.

No for many reasons. A bounty takes 48 minutes to evade. I do not want to be penalized cuz I wanna go to bed or get some food. The timer stops when you enter ur apt so that point of not entering is dumb. Why should I have my fun impacted because a dead npc puts 9k for stealing a rust bucket

Honestly they can stay in their freaking appartment...its boring there

Still...times were nicer when a bounty had to stay in the same session for a long time to earn it themself

though yea...even 9000 isnt something worth defending by staying i an app if you ask me

If they think so let them

But yea...wallbreachers...of any kind shoud get 2 months in the bad sport lobby

I would be fine with the radar callouts on planes and helicopters, but what is this crap with instantly jumping to an apartment invite? I'm sick of Rockstar enabling cowardly, unsportsmanlike behavior in the bounty hunting game. Nail them down and make them face the music. No more switching sessions, no more hiding in apartments.

And for crying out loud, autoban people for wall breaching when they are under a bounty! There's no effing excuse for that.

This all amounts to discrimination against a part of the community playing an activity Rockstar created and keeps undermining.

I'm clearly not saying they should be banned for every infraction against the bounty system. If you want to join a job, no problem. I think you should pay a fine. Maybe $1k that goes into your bounty reward. If you keep switching, your bounty just keeps going up. Maybe the time period should extend also. Maybe at $20,000, you're finally stopped from running away and you get locked to the session and can't do jobs until the bounty clears. I mean, we can get creative with it. The only banning situations should be when people glitch to troll people coming after their bounty.

If it makes any of you feel any better, I bounty hunt with a professional decorum. Once I collect, I LEAVE YOU ALONE. You kill me once for killing you, fair enough. If you were a particularly squirmy opponent or you spawned right next to me, I might even send you a cut of the bounty. The point is, it should be fun for all involved.

And seriously, who can't manage 1k? No problem with spotting them the cash and just adding it to the bounty.

Bounty Targets who leave the session or join a job should be penalized

Anybody else sick of bounty targets who cowardly hide in their apartment, wall-breach, or leave the session right when the bounty is placed on their head?

Here is what should happen to bounty targets when a bounty is placed on their head...

If you're a bounty target either stick it out and fight like a man to all who come after you. Ammu-Nation is there for a reason. Strap-up or shut up.

f$cking thank you, I have always thought the same thing, it's such a p#ssy move, just come out and fight and if you die, don't act like a Cod kid and kill/ try to kill them a lot

What about npc bounties??

99% of the time I have a bounty its from stealing an npc car. I usullay only play missions with friends and crew.

Fvck you if you think I should be fined for playing missions rather than staying in fr.

I dont like fr im never in there and for a reason.

For player set bounties I kind of agree.

Apartment camping does nothing the timer wont move theyll only delay the inevitable.

The Bounty System should not even be in the game as is. An efficient bounty system is a multi-player mode akin to Assissination from Killzone where your team must protect your for 10 minutes while the other team tries to gun for your head. Of course in a map with Forced weapons on. No mini-guns, no RPGs, No Auto-Shotties.

Damn straight, OP. I'll go one better - as soon as a player gets a Bounty, they are immediately rooted in place and their controller goes dead.

Wait, I've topped it - when a Bounty gets put on, they are instantly transported to your personal session and spawned in right in front of you, with all of the above paralysis in place.

No wait - this is it - when a Bounty gets placed, the player automatically dies, you get credited with the kill, the bounty collection and the cash.

Yeah, let's see them pussy their way out of that. This whole "escaping from people trying to kill them" is just pandering bullsh*t - R* looking after the whining casuals again.

I give every bounty I kill all of the bounty money.

It really confuses them, some guy coming after them, killing them cheaply, and then giving them the bounty.

I have a feeling they go from "I am so going to kill that guy when I respawn" to "What the...? I don't know what to do now"

A friend of mine took off in his buzzard and went and hid in the submarine when I came after him. He sat down under the water for the entire time, so just to annoy him once he cleared the bounty I called up Lester and put a $9k bounty on him, then found his buzzard where he'd stashed it at the submarine spawn point and put a sticky bomb on it.

Didn't get my 9k back, but it was worth it.
