Bounty Hunters More Handicapped Than Ever

Your idea sucks. If bounties only lasted 5-10 minutes, I might agree with you. It would force people to fight and would be intense. But bounties are 48 minutes.

Pay $1000 to join a job? You realize starting a job stops the timer? So does switching sessions. I know this because I've spent hours with the same bounty.

Your apartment is your safehouse, bounty or not. Personally I enjoy the thrill of outrunning bounty hunters, but I also enjoy going to my apartment, watching them camp outside & sending muggers. Or better yet, watching everyone else kill each other waiting for you to come outside.

It sucks when you get a bounty for stealing a car and people start coming after you but youre tyfing to be peaceful. I used to get a bounty almost evry time i stole a car....

So you want the people with bounties on them to not protect themselves?

and your point is, in free roam your task is to SURVIVE by any means necessary (even if your selling cars and organizing meet ups). so if you got a bounty on your head you run to the border (apartment). you dont just stand there and take it.

Being chased is just as fun as chasing someone. I like having a big bounty on my head just to see how long I can evade a room full of grievers. Surviving a bounty legit, especially with ppl chasing, is one of the best things this game has to offer. The money sucks. $9k in 48 minutes is the lowest payout and if you aren't feeling challenged do some other activities: rob stores, armored truck, export cars, anything that gives the rest of the room a slight advantage and give you a little more adrenaline pump. But if the only way you can "protect yourself" is by leaving the session, exploiting wall breaches, or hiding in your apt then you suck and theres no two ways about it.

I'd rather die like a man that hide like a coward but thats just me.

I got a bounty and I blocked myself into a corner with my PV. Then I took 2 random cars and formed a barricade and took cover behind it all. If you blow me up, you'll destroy my PV and have to pay more more money for insurance than you'll get for the bounty.

I would have blown you up without a second thought. I've got more than enough money and just want that kill. I don't usually kill random players but I enjoy hunting bounties, at all costs.

That being said, I think the bounty system is fine the way it is. If someone wants to run away or hide, no big deal, there are always more bounties.

what really ruins the bounty hunting is the off radar notification...

they really have to remove that sh*t!

Yeah, as long as youre not in the PV...cause then its allowed.

I dont care about the money or BS warning, I just want to put another bounty scalp on my belt. ;)

There's no need for this feature to exist.

How? they still can't see you on the map, if they're watching the radar and see an approaching blip disappear they can be pretty sure its someone hunting them anyway.

It certainly hasn't hindered me in anyway for claiming bounties... maybe you just suck at the game and are looking for something trivial to blame.

I love having a bounty on me. The thrill of the chase is one of the best things about GTA. If I have a bounty on me I'll try and stand my ground, or hop in one of my cars and flee the scene. Too many players are worried about their silly K/D, which has no place in GTA IMO.

Also, wall breaching, or hiding in your apartment is for wankers. sh*t like that just turns me off to GTAO. R* does need to tweak the bounty system in some way. OP had some good ideas, I'd like to see some implemented.

then let them kill you so you can go on about your business. If your worried about K/D ratio etc it takes seconds to round a corner jump out of your car kill the pursuer and then let him kill you so as it's 1 for 1. Most bounty hunters I see and deffo me move on when you got the bounty. They aint in it for the trolling they r in it for the hunt.

Not sure if they patched up the passive-mode sticky bomb glitch, but thats a very successful way of taking out Wall Breachers AND People who go hide in an apartment, and a glitch I have no problem using whenever I see peopke hiding out of the map.

If a bounty leaves, goes into their apt, uses a wall breach or some other form of weak sauce, I simply move on. If they enjoy spending their time hiding in one spot then let them. They're the ones missing out on the fun of being chased when you have a bounty.

I love the "pussy" and "like a man" comments.

this is a game. nobody gets payed to play. it's pretty much a child's toy.

the older/more mature you are, the worse you'll be at most games. #beaman.

ALSO...

find a real street criminal & tell him how badass you are at GTA. he'll laugh & while he's wiping your tears, sh*t & blood off of his flesh-knife, he'll call YOU a pussy.

The way I look at is that I'm not obligated to keep you entertained simply because I have a bounty on me. I have things to do and operate on my own schedule. Sometimes, if I feel like it, I'll give the bounty hunters a good chase, but other times I feel like doing a Survival match or a race, or just head back to my apartment and log out. If you can't collect the bounty on me while I'm on the road, then that's your problem.

On the other hand, people who hide in their apartment or cheat to avoid being killed are asshats beyond compare.

You'll never fix sh*tty player behavior. Change something and they'll find another way to be douche bags. All you can do is accept that there will be idiots in this game. It makes you appreciate the times when you encounter a good sport.

Had a nice long chase on a bounty. Led like 5 of us on a huge car chase around the entire island of San Andreas. Just couldn't stop him. Finally I dive bombed him with a Mallard, crashing into and blowing up a car in traffic next to him, and killing him with the splash damage. I respawned next to him, and per my personal code of conduct, did not attack him - and neither did he attack me. He just walked over, gave the thumbs up and went on his way. Added to friends list, we cruise together now from time to time.

same here, its fun with my forza horizon 1 and motorsport 4 driving experiences i can handle going at speed. however this is GTA so there is alot of 007 type sh-t, cars flying in the air, drifts, mustangs crashing into trees, my little GTR in the wet spining and criminal driving. so my driving percision goes out the window the moment i switch to my GTAO character.

but all i was saying is that you have to do all you can to survive.

To the noobs. welcome to GTA Online, the home of 007 Type sh-t, guns, whores, bounty hunters, Robbers, Street Gangs (Crews), Rozzers (from topgear),drugs.drinking and suicide bombers.

...lolol

You Sir, have won the thread.

First of all, the MF gif split my side...i heard his voice readings "oh, he mad" & everythings.

OT OP...i hear ya. Theres surviving a bounty and surviving one cowardly. Same can go for the hunter both ways.

You bring up some interesting points, as entering an apartment is legit to me. Perhaps after 4hrs of bounty being in apt. it would be possible to break in and get after the bounty...but wall glitchers are shnooks.

:) i Chang

I also give 50% back to the hunted if I enjoyed the chase and they made it a fun fight. Hell if the guy is low level I've seen me give them it all. I just like chasing bounties for the fun factor.

Same here. I'll gladly give them the cash if it was hard fought and a laugh. I'll gladly chase after a $1,000bounty and plough money after money into RPGs or whatever just to get the bounty. It's just another way of having GTA fun :)

If someone with a bounty is hiding in his apartment, we should be able to hire a locksmith to break into the apartment.

While this sounds like a fun idea, I totally disagree. The apartments should be a safe zone. I enjoy all the killing and whatnot as much as the next player, but I like having a place that you can go in-game and be undisturbed. I wish there was some more social safe zones like a crew hideout or a dance club or restaurant or things like that where we could go and do jazz hands and air thrusting at each other without the fear of some psycho shooting through the doors and killing everyone. Here's hoping that the casino will finally actually happen and be like this. *fingers crossed*
