So I'm getting even more tiresome of how easily people can get an unfair advantage by simply wearing a helmet!

Played a DM the other day, forced weapon SNS, shot one guy climbing over a wall, one shot kill, next guy climbing over had a helmet, shot 5-6 times and still no kill.

 

It's really a annoying problem, one which could easily be remedied with a helmet on/off toggle for DM's.

Well pistol are pretty much obsolete nowadays,even the mighty carbines have been relegated to 2nd best when it comes to hockey helmet players

That's the worst when your having a long gun battle and you've seen blood spurting out of the enemies head multiple times but they end up eventually getting the only headshot that counts.

 

Talking about the pistol whip, it is another example that R* still hasn't fully figured out the basics of multiplayer yet. What is the point of melee weapons when a gun works more effectively as a melee weapon than anything else. Even more baffling is that the circle button works elusively as gun melee button after reloading but it doesn't results in a one hit kills making it the more challenging less and less rewarding alternative, it really makes no sense.

True. Pistol/carabine/whatever whipping should not be a thing. I've encounered too many players in free aim deathmatches who don't use their guns much for shooting. Just run around pistol whipping, what is unfortunately quite effective against players whose aim isn't very good.

I remember once encountering a guy who didn't fire a single shot over a course of few deathmatches. He was running around pistol whipping and strafing as he was approaching his victim. I was fairly new to free aim back then and so were other players (all low levels). He was even a top scoring player in first two deathmatches until people started to adapt and pistol whip him as well. I don't remember his gamertag but it had word "stealthy" in it.

 

OT: I'm all for idea to be able to ban helmets in DMs. When the helmets were announced I thought it's something like armor, that it just wears off after few shots. I thought it was bitchy as f*ck. But then I realised It's even worse - it never wears off. This sh*t is ridiculous and I hope they at least give us the option to turn them off.

I love headshots so much. I am using the same tactic in auto aim than I was in Red Dead Redemption. It almost always works except if the target is wearing a bulletproof helmet. This is why I am always wearing one during battles just in case.

They've nerfed the helmets a little bit, still a option for the host to toggle on/off is needed badly!

I love it when two people stand close to each other, you just move a bit with your character and get their heads faced in one line. 1 shot, 2 kills.

Probally the best headshot ever:

When you headshot a f*cking noob who only use a rocket launcher and explosives while going in passive mode after he get you finally one time. When he comes back out of it, shoots a rocket which go near your head and you shot him in the head

I always appreciate headshots. The unintentional ones are marking.

After destroying a Tank along with its driver with a Buzzard I was somehow forced out of my helicopter (probably through a modder's action), I landed with a parachute in the middle of the road. On the radar, a player goes straight toward me at mad speeds, I equip the Grenade Launcher expecting an Armored Kuruma, it wasn't one, supersportive, Infernus. I'm back to the Assault SMG, under a semblant of cover, about to empty the clip on his car when he drives by as a warning to not get close to me. The VERY FIRST shot was a completly unintended headshot, and the player seemed harmless. I felt bad on top of being called a cheater.

 

Still. It's refreshing to see a game where headshots kill outright. Only goes down to the weapon you're the most comfortable with.

Oh the Assault SMG is a oh so sweet gun that is rarely used, due to the nature of freemode. And you can't put it in a custom DM neither due to it being a DLC weapon (Dunno why all DLC-guns are excluded from the creator!)

 

So it makes it even better to get a good kill with it! Also the Sniper's the easiest gun to get a headshot with... but that doesn't mean they can't be just as awesome like the video above! You sir would have got a good wee buzz from that! Nice one!

I thought so, although I wasn't sure if the helmets were nerfed or the Heavy Sniper was buffed.

BP Helmets were nerfed, still when I get a Pistol Headshot they don't die... then they pistol whip ya. That sh*t needs disabled in DMs!

Nothing better than having some tube speeding towards you thinking they can run you over for an easy kill only for me to be standing on a wall with the shotgun ready and taking them out with one bullet....the screams on the mike make even more rewarding!

Headshots are great! If only the game had actual gore, I'd like to see some brain pieces fly or see some bones when I blast a player/NPC in the head or body with a shotgun in sniper and see their insides

Shooting other players in the head is fun, but shooting NPC's in the head is even more satisfying since it's always a one hit kill and no lag before they drop. Headshots also makes pistols very lethal weapons in the right hands...a good player with a pistol is far more deadly than a crappy player with an MG or AR.

I practice on NPCs but always feel better getting it on players. Yep the Pistols become a great weapon to use... but it would seem so few have played Max Payne or RDR. People moan about the game getting boring... but maybe thats cos people keep spamming the same guns! Pink-Auto-Shotties and the like.
