KipeKemi
I just bought GTA IV and have never played or even seen it before. Now the major question is that when I begin to play, can I screw the save game up so that I fail to make it to the 100% because I did thing A before thing B. I know that in GTA III this was very possible. So initially a yes/no question: Can I screw it up? And if, then how far in the game it is approximately? Try not to spoil too much. There are two endings to IV. And multiple choices throughout. Just so you know when the endings are coming save your game before starting the mission "One Last Thing" Other than that it is possible to get 100% on both endings. Ok, thanks for this But there's not such a thing that there was in GTA III that you decide to play a wrong mission at a wrong time -> Chances for 100% are gone for good? Drunken Cowboy
Before the end, you got a few other story choices you can't change. I reccomend killing P instead of D, you'll know when that time comes. I really regretted killing D my first playthrough. the ironic one
Also there are some characters during gameplay. If you execute them, you can't complete some side missions.
fefenc
Don't spoil the guy by saying who he must kill or spare or how much endings has the game, it's his first playthrough, he must enjoy it at maximum and put himself on Niko's place to take his decisions. Lethal Vaccine
Also there are some characters during gameplay. If you execute them, you can't complete some side missions. All the guys you can spare don't count for 100% Completion. So if you don't kill them, they come back as a Random Character NOT required for 100%. If you kill them, they are out of the game for good. But who cares cuz they aren't required for 100% and the guy seems to just want to be able to get to 100%. WandererNiko and matajuegos01

I forgot to mention that it's not required for 100%. My bad. But who cares cuz they aren't required for 100% and the guy seems to just want to be able to get to 100%. I do. And I regret that no one advised me before my first playthrough that this new feature exists in GTA IV. I wanted to approach every mission possible during the first playthrough. After all, we didn't say anything important, just basic information necessary to avoid feeling regret that something has been done in a wrong way. The whole story is behind him, so it's not spoiling. ryd3r007
Like the guys says before, whatever you choice, doesnt affect to complete the 100%. For me Niko have a moral code, so i made decisions according to that. But anyway, its your 1st playthrough so your main objective is enjoy the game, believe me when i say you will repeat the story at least once more time, the game worth it Cheers Edited October 8, 2014 by ryd3r007 KipeKemi
the ironic one
For me Niko have a moral code, so i made decisions according to that. I agree. But on the other hand he easly losses his temper and gets furious. Sometimes it's hard to say what would Niko do. I tkink that he's the type of guy who has mercy unless it's something private not a job.
matajuegos01
just enjoy it, don't let anyone else tell you how to play, it's completely your choice, that said you can 100% the game regardless of the choices or the order of missions you choose to play first KipeKemi and Lethal Vaccine
the ironic one
Maybe you're right. After all, it's a good motivation to get through this great game once again if you're not satisfied with your choices. And Im sure youll complete the game more than twice regardless of choices. woggleman
Not that I can think of but if you do cheat make sure to do it on a separate save. Leave one save cheat free. KipeKemi
KipeKemi
Good points here and no, not too much spoiling. Mostly I just want to avoid knowing in advance the storyline, so other things are ok. I don't know for sure, but I think I've completed two of the three hardest missions already, those being buying the game and installing it successfully on Windows 8.1 x64. The third one will be that I will play the game for at least 15 minutes (once I get started, I don't think there's a lot that can stop me). matajuegos01
