Zello
Every now and then when we play a game we come across a moment that makes you tear up a bit, pump you up, whatever. I remember playing ME3 and that ending (I enjoyed it) After those 3 games with my Shepard I had to go get some tissues He knew what he signed up for Another game that comes close is The Last of Us that game was an emotional journey along with the Left behind DLC What are yours? Jvaz615
Definitely TLOU. That game was an emotional roller-coaster. ME3 but not the ending. Ill just say...The scene with Thane Krios got me. Red Deads ending was a tear jerker.

HaythamKenway
Of course, lowballs like endings of MGS 3 and RDR. More unique emotional moments include the ending of AC: Revelations (Ezio's conversation with Sofia, the building of tension, Altair's final moments, Ezio's speech to Desmond... just wonderful. Actually, it was, overall, probably the most powerful moment I've ever experienced in a video game). From more recent memory, it's the final chapters of AC III (Connor, betrayed by the Patriots, being forced to fight his own people, Haytham's final battle and his funeral, the hunt for Lee, including his assassination, epilogue missions, Achilles' funeral and Connor's speech at his grave). Another recent one, the "Kill Trevor" and "Deathwish" endings of GTA V. Deathwish became more powerful in retrospective and after watching Archengeia's rumination on it. The A ending, ironically, not because of Trevor (as much as I like him, he got what was coming to him), but because of Michael and Franklin. Because unlike the C ending, which was a moment of defiance and "breaking the cycle", the A ending was Franklin succumbing to the system and becoming just another good obedient cog and dragged Michael with him. In the A ending, nothing has changed. Franklin completed his journey towards greed and ruthlessness and Michael remained burdened with guilt and denial. On the other hand, the C ending was a wake-up call for both of them, which makes A even more tragic in comparsion. Weirdly enough, "Kill Michael" ending didn't come nowhere close to A's emotional punch.
Wayne Daniels
By far the ending of Assassins Creed 2, Minerva's speech. "The rest is up to you, Desmond". Perfection.
Th3MaN1
When it comes to games, story is the least of my interests. I can see a good story, and a bad one as well, but I can ignore them easily. But there was one game that I played just for the story; and nothing else. That game was called "To The Moon".

Guest Billy Russo
Call of Duty 4 ending. Seriously. Call of Duty believe or not actually used to have some pretty good Story Modes, 4's ending was very deep. It was a horrible sequence. I was gutted about what happened to one of my favourite characters from the game.
ByePolar
There's a bunch of endings for me that really got me... - the final scene for COD 4, Capt Price lying on the ground badly wounded slides a pistol to me so I can kill the Russian dude. - when Craig Boone finally opened up about how he had to kill his wife when she was being auctioned off as a slave to Caesar legionaires in Fallout New Vegas. - when I found dogmeat in the scrap yard still fighting off bandits even after his master was killed. Let me tell you, that's f*cking loyality!! Fallout 3 - when the ancient nords was fighting Aldiun high up on a mountain, and they was taking a pretty good ass whipping until one of them pulled out the elder scroll. When the nord yelled, "you are banished" I cried like a bitch. Skyrim
Gnocchi Flip Flops
The first day I played Forza Horizon 1: I remember trying out my old Camaro and took it on the main road heading west, the one I hadn't fully explored yet. Well The route definitely surprised me when it bottlenecked and got really scenic. It was so beautiful, and when the road got windy, it was so fun. Then I headed towards the damn on the most western portion of the map and was in awe for like a whole day. At the time, that sh*t was amazing. And now we got Forza Horizon 2, haven't played it yet but I'm sure it'll be a real game changer for me.
Fireman
In terms of endings Mafia and L.A. Noire were great. L.A. Noire wasn´t necesarrily a sad ending, but it felt so wrong it kinda pissed me off, which a game usually only does when I can´t win or it doesn´t work properly. Mafia final speech was obviously the best thing ever. I also mentioned before Sanitarium where Sara dies, the protagonists sister and Baldur's Gate 2 where you find out Khalid is dead. Daz
A storyline in almost 95% of games really doesn't hit me in any kind of way, often becoming more of a tedious display of cliché and bad tropes that make me f*cking sick. However, if I had to choose an important moment that made me actually feel different after, it would have to be the ending fight and ending pre credits cutscenes of Metal Gear Solid 3. Truly important sh*t, as if it were actually factual.

don ovdi' island
Well.. not sure if this was emotional, but on COD:4, the mission (or playable cutscene) when the nuke goes off and your bird goes down.. you're the only survivor.. bleeding out.. watching the destruction around you… all in the face of a ominous red sky and a giant mushroom cloud … (which is probably a terrifying sight IRL).. i loved replaying it - over.. and over.. taking in the atmosphere. I loved the Chernobyl related mission as well. Ghillies in the mist? IDK what the name was.. it was the one when you played as Price… the atmosphere of Pripyat was so desolate. So eerie! Reminded me of a blog i stumbled upon years before playing the game, (when i was younger.. actually around when i first started using the internet .. Might have what sparked my interest in abandoned buildings and urban exploring!) of a traveler who was granted permission to explore Pripyat. She took many pictures and i was extremely interested. it was looking at a town where time stood still, a town where, even today - it's still 1986. I know these are not emotional in the sense of sadness or tragedy.. but i seem to be stimulated by certain atmospheres, certain environments. Part of the reason of why i loved Call of Duty 4 was because of certain atmospheres that really grabbed my attention.
AceThaCreator
THIS: I remember being in shock the first it happened when i was 7 at the time. The music just made it worst. It was so satisfying killing that b*stard at the end. He was the most ruthless and deranged villian that i have ever dealt with, none of them compare to this guy.
