First of MANY confirmed songs for Next-Gen & PC

Should add "Under The Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or "Californication".

For the Genesis crowd my picks would be "No Reply At All", "That's All", "Land Of Confusion", "Paperlate", "Abacab", or "Turn It On Again"

THAT BLADERUNNER SIG THO

:santa:

I watched that movie again a few weeks ago. By far one of the best science fiction movies ever, hard to say something isn't perfect in it. Dat Vangelis soundtrack tho :inlove:

Oh well, if we're up for suggesting radio music, here are a few I'd LOVE to see added to LSRR:

- Perfect song for starting a day in V / Online.

- Driving alone through the open roads on a rainy day. Also good for bombarding enemies and tank griefers with Buzzards and Lazers.

Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused - Picking up hookers. Also, strip club.

- Doing drugs on safehouses. Also, doing drugs on safehouses.

- Finishing a heist and going on a shopping spree. I mean, really, this song has "GTA V" written all over it, it surprises me that it wasn't included.

I hope we get some more Phil Collins.

That dude is a lyrical wordsmith.

Great, nothing like listening to a whiny Disney movie soundtrack.

You're joking right? Look up Genesis and shut your mouth... ;)

Phil is the man!

He ruined that band......

Nah, he just took over the vocal duties after Peter left, when Steve left the band finally went all pop-rock.

There's good stuff post-Gabriel, to me Selling England By The Pound and A Trick Of The Tail are the best albums that Genesis ever released, latter without Peter Gabriel. And the pop stuff they did in the 80's wasn't bad, Genesis and Invisible Touch are good albums, but the only problem here was that they kept doing the music under the same old name. I guess it's the same issue with Pink Floyd, post-Waters albums in my opinion are great. Musically. To me the band was in some way stronger without Waters and his daddy issues that ruined The Final Cut and half of The Wall. People just want to think that they are nothing without Waters, which is funny considering that I find AMLOR and The Division Bell much better albums than anything Roger Waters ever recorded as a solo artist.

Enough about British prog-rock groups already?

Back on topic: the next-gen things don't interest me since I have no intention of buying a new console to play one game. I already bought the PS3 and a TV on the release day of GTA V. Maybe I'll reconsider the PS4 in the future but no backwards compatibility pisses me off, since I got GTA IV and the episodes, Red Dead Redemption&Undead Nightmare and a few other games that I'd like to play too.

No. Genesis was Peter Gabriel.

No Moon, No Who.

No Waters, No Floyd.

No Ward, No Sabbath.

Since the topic of new songs has come up again, I think R* should throw in some Yaoband:

The day when california radio stations begin to play chinese crap is the day when pigs fly bro.

I'm a big Genesis guy, but the Peter Gabriel era never really did it for me - I'll take the rock era Phil Collins Genesis (Abacab, etc) over the Gabriel era any day. Hell, I might take "Calling All Stations" (lone post-Collins album) over Gabriel era Genesis.

Gabriel really hit his stride when he went pop, arguably so did Genesis.

If they go back to Vice city, they need to add a patriot driving CSI Lt. that spouts one liners and this song.

That is fine if you like the dumbed down version of Genesis. Most people like the simple, easy to follow music.

I think you do a disservice to the band, especially Mike Rutherford's work, referring to the post-Gabriel music as "dumbed down".

Would love a station like MSX from gta 3, GTA series need to add some more Underground music. Wold love some Ragga,Jungle,Drum and Bass, Hardcore and breakbeat. However I doubt this would be implemented, issues with copyright and other legal issue make all this difficult.

The majority here's taste in music makes me want to stab a pencil in my ear...

Do any of you even know what "music" is or what its actually supposed to sound like?

I just want more songs like they had in GTA SA, loved K-DST, K-Rose and Radio X.

Collins vocals did the disservice, my friend.

Ok, this thread has lost its way, if you want to talk about music in general go to the Music Forum.
