mirh
I already built this version myself, but it wouldn't run. That binary works, strange, I hope I can get VS to compile a version that works, I like to make changes to the code. I'm not sure yet how much the debugger will help me (it's certainly cool to have). A VU debugger would be nice. This is weird. Are you compiling with VS 2010 perhaps? That version has been deprecated for a long time. Personally I used VS 2013 professional with windows SDK 7.1, if this can help (you used to need DX SDK, but as you may know that has been merged with windows one) Besides, feel free to ask in the pcsx2 forums. The developers there are pretty friendly (and considering you are not going to ask the usual crappy questions, I'm sure they will be more than ever) Edited October 13, 2014 by mirh

The Hero
look how the ps2 version on pcsx2 on hardware mode is similar to the pc version Hardware mode on PCSX2 is missing of post-processing effects, so it looks like PC version. Actually the PC version has post processing of it's own, neither version shows you the raw rendered frame, but that's what you see in pcsx2 in hardware mode and when you press F7 in NTAuthority's mod. VERSA
look how the ps2 version on pcsx2 on hardware mode is similar to the pc versionYou know guys, I played a lot on the emulator in hardware mode and it's still different from original SA on pc. I don't know how and why, but the atmosphere feels more "deeply" there, more naturally...it renders somehow differently. Even now, when we have restored PS2 atmosphere on PC it only looks like PS2, but not feels like it...something is missing. And some of my random screens from the emulator in hardware mode: Oh and someone here said that there's no difference in how thermal vision looks compare to PC. El Dorado
I tested it with the brightness set to maximum, doesn't change much. And how resolution affects these things? You mean texture resolution?
TJGM
I tested it with the brightness set to maximum, doesn't change much. And how resolution affects these things? You mean texture resolution? Well I was honestly just talking about how the two rooms in that screenshot look different in size because of the resolution. The PS2 screenshot seems stretched out making the room look longer when its not, while the PC one looks more narrow when once again, its not. Although, I probably shouldn't have mentioned it considering we're mainly talking about the colour of both screenshots here rather than the screenshots themselves. San Andreas missions don't set the time and weather do they? It's possible the PS2 screenshot is taken during the day with a different weather than the PC screenshot. erorcun
Yeah, there are some things missing I'm completely sure it's related with time or vertex color of model. Red or Yellow? Nights744
Nice small hud man, can you share your widescreen fix settings? Honestly, it seems like a change in brightness and the lower resolution is what makes it look like that. Actually format c: is right. There are still differences. Lately I've read through some San Andreas tips and tricks and the guy who wrote it obviously tested these on the PS2 version. Why? The first thing where I wondered was when they guy mentioned pink markers. Now I thought he confused it with Vice City but he was right. I looked it up and found that the markers are a little bit pink/rosy and not really blood red like I had them in mind. Also you still need to find out the effects used in night vision and thermal vision. Right now with the latest ASI I see that the blurryness and color correction gets disabled when using the goggles. So you guys got 1/3 of the mistery solved. But it seems like there are three different techniques. Normal vision effect, night vision effect and thermal vision effect. I guess it switches between those algorithms when a goggle is applied for example. SaL_Leone and Snoops27
SilverRST
Red or Yellow? (As red by default) Seriously, why not both?! They both looks very nice! I have many GTA SA installs such as normal and with winter mod. The red one will gonna be amazing on GTA SA with winter mod! So, release both! SilverRST
Format:c, how did you got that sunhaze that big?? Edited the timecyc manually or with fastman in-game timecyc editor? IIRC the values has a maximum up to 12,7 for like sun corona size. And can you release that timecyc with the red sunhaze you early posted? Or just post the value of the RGB so I can adjust themm myself.
El Dorado
for the big sunhaze you need this - go into your data>maps>leveldes folder, replace the existing file for the red sunhaze, it's just the original timecyc.dat file, no edit needed Edited October 19, 2014 by format c:
