What's Bad About Tank/Jet/Heli Player Icons?

I don't understand, what's so bad about other players knowing you are in a special vehicle?

 

If you claim it's just a useless clutter on the radar, you are wrong, because players avoiding you is probably what you dislike about it.

If these kids have so much money to waste on paying insurance for destroying cars with tanks, buzzards, and lazers that also adds a fee from pegasus fee for every time they order a vehicle from them then why cant they pay a simple "Off the radar" fee?

Pretty sure the owner pays the remaining amount. Might've been altered in a patch however, I'm not sure.

Yes, low detail should remove all the blue job markers, not the store icons.

They go to zero, you still don't pay and everyone moves on. No real big deal, honestly.

 

On topic, why should other players know what vehicle you're in? The dot coming towards you should be plenty...if they're your friend, it's cool...if not, be ready just in case. I don't like that it kills the element of surprise (and I mean that from both sides). I also don't like the clutter on the mini-map, which was already a bit too busy.

 

I'll once again add that I am not a "vehicle griefer", since too many of the kiddies like to group anyone who doesn't need icons as such. I just don't see the point when there's more than half a dozen options one can use if they really have such an issue...did they really need another? Funnier yet, people STILL are complaining...when does it end?

The kid would fork over all of the 3k but the owner wont have to pay the rest still. The other 7k is paid off by the insurance company.

Because R* doesn't want anything to do with proper stealth. Just sneak-kill somebody with a suppressed weapon on Mt Chiliad and you'll know my statement is true. Also, we have to pay to go off radar for a minute? It's all a scam.

 

I guess it caters towards a "certain" crowd since it gives everybody a consistent Blackbird/Advanced UAV, or whatever they're called nowadays.

boring ? what would be more exciting than constantly watching your back ? you pretty much have to do it anyways even with dots. without dots you never know if that calm cruising civilian car is actual a would be-red dotted mad man about to sticky bomb you.. could even pay lester 500$ to show all dots in the radar(joking, about the last part)

people say its unrealistic to know what type of vehicle you're in because of the radar.. but its unrealistic to know where every person in the state is too. What, you planted a GPS tracker up every avatar's asshole or something?

off radar notification is dumb as hell, why bother going off-radar if the whole lobby is going to know and just buy reveal players.

 

I think they should get rid of the notification of going off-radar and giving you a longer period of being off-radar.

 

C* should also buff the reveal players option. Give it like a 5 minute use or so and reveal who goes off-radar and maybe change their icons to a dark blue or some other stealthy color.

 

The price should also increase for these 2 options.

I get what you're saying, but you'd rarely have encounters with other players like that. Having player dots is fine...I just don't see the need for more than that.

But that won't happen because it costs money...and the less money players have, the more likely they are to buy shark cards.

Personally, I think jet icons don't make that much of a difference. Yes, people are now aware that you're in a jet, but if someone's caught wide in the open, there's no way he could get to cover in time to avoid a dive bombing jet's cannon.

 

The main problem I have is that non-armed aircraft get an icon. If there's a jet griefer in the lobby, the airplane and helicopter icons make you a desirable target since airplanes and helicopters are easier to take down than someone on foot on the ground.
