For or against rare items from crate drops?

Absolutely love the idea of rare loot and limited time items.

 

I dont think the crate system is the best way but its all we got. Not like npcs drop anything but cash guns and snacks..

 

In lieu of a better system I am glad we have some sort of system to have rares as im a mmo fan and normally mmo gamer.

I managed to get my hands on 2 of these tops. The second one I wasn't realy going for tho because since I already had the top I was helping my friends get one but it glitches out for them and they couldn't pick it up so I come along to test it and I could pick it up and surprise surprise it had the top in it....

I'm for it just for the fact that it's pretty rare, even much more than the limited time vehicles, only problem is the amount of dedication it takes to get it (at least until they fixed it this week to make it beyond normal to pick one up)

I picked up a special crate about 10 mins ago. Hopefully the shirt was in it as I was in a massive police chase at the time so didn't have time to look at the notification.

I'm actually a huge fan of crate drops (when they're working properly). It provides incentive to A.) brave freemode and B.) engage other players (while fighting over the crate...) If players want said item, they're usually going to have to work for them. That's fun. I usually don't want the extra stuff. I got 4 beer hats and 2 Victory Fist tees that I've never worn. I just want the fight, the $5k and the 5k RP.

I f*cking hate them, because I never get them. And after a while there is no way to get the items that were in it.

I am with cosmetic items being limited.

Against gameplay affecting items being limited.

 

My problem with this however is the crate method they use. It is random and not earned at all. Winning the event playlist for the item would be much better.

Against, as since 1.06 all crate drops completely vannished from existance on my game.

I dont mind the crates but i spent hours going in and out of sessions looking to see a Crate Drop.

I saw one and it wasnt even a special crate. TWO DAYS and not a single SPECIAL CRATE for me.

 

Probably had a lot to do with the IDIOTS who dont understand that if you get in the green circle before the stupid drop, the drop doesnt happen.

So I couldnt get a fist T-Shirt , even If i had been paid to find one, I would have been unsuccessful.

So Rockstar, please, if you are going to expect us to wait around for crate drops, at least make them consistent and if people enter the circle, just move the circle to another location. I wasted too much valuable weekend time looking for a damn crate.

 

That's funny because these last few days I've being grinding every time I was forced to go to FR I would've seen a "Special crate drop inbound" notification at least 60% of the time. Of course I just started grinding straight after.

This last event did it right I think, one item for doing the playlist and another in special crates. That way freeroamers and mission grinders alike have something to chase and the collectors can get both.

Against them. Make crate drops more common.Make people who have the items unable to collect the crate again and hog the items.

Fix the standing in the circle glitch the impatient assholes cause.

i liked them till today

open lobby with five other crew members and two randoms.

one of the randoms either had the shirt or the sense to stay away while the other comes in with a buzzard and quickly gets shot down

respawns in passive mode and runs straight into the green circle and we get a message (not from random) about pilot getting scared off. my problem with this is the guy was already wearing the shirt

sucks that someone who already has the shirt would go out of their way to stop other people from getting one

i cant realy vote since, well, im kinda for, but only if they last atleast a month or so and the system isnt broke

i mean, imagen if they dropped us the special weapon called a "stinger"(i want one of those so bad)

such an item in a crate drop woud sure shake up things

but then in that case it shoud be available for purchase a month after the last crate that got one of those in it woud be delivered

because realy, though i dont like the idea that people woud miss out on something because of a f*cked up system...sertainly not for ever, there is nothing in gta online freeroam sessions that makes players more active then such a drop

 

but then again, it woud be even nicer if one had the option to share with the people he wants to share with....atleast sharing with friends or/and crewmembers so teamwork is something thats usefull in freeroam

(i also think we realy need some activities that atleast benefit under teamwork....simeons hpv come close, but doesnt cut it simply because one has to share the cash then and each 6000 when working with 2 players...well yea, its more tense when doing it solo and it kinda sucks to share(i do though when some random friend/crew member took care of anyone that was following me, but yea... )
