How to shoot overhead Buzzards.

I was in a lobby and was killed three times by a duo in a Buzzard. I managed to land a few shots each time I re-spawned, but I just couldn't get a bead on them by the time they were hovering overhead.

 

Anyone got any tips? Is there a weapon or projectile that can reach that far back?

Just act quick when you respawn. Grab a Minigun or RPG and erase them.

Yeah, I tried that but even full blasting didn't do it. By the time I got a good barrage on them the pilot was beyond my viewing angle and the co-pilot had me banged to rights. The RPG was simply dodged.

 

A good pilot, it seemed.

Luckily it doesn't happen very often but a good buzzard pilot with a good gunner is really only stopable by a jet.

This. It's very rare to find a good pilot and a good gunner in a buzzard. Since the gunner can shoot straight down, they can easily stay out of your target zone.

 

Try going into parking garages, tunnels and under bridges. This forces the pilot to come down into your targetting zone for the gunner to target you, you can then take em out with RPG/MIni or will placed heavy sniper shot - IF you are quick.

 

You can also deploy "off radar", come out the other side of the tunnel or another level of the parking garage and circle back for a kill.
