Jet icon is the dumbest addition to the game, including aircraft in general and helicopters. Not one sane person who plays this game would EVER ask for this sh*t.

I don't see how it's so dumb, even if you can obviously tell if an icon is moving fast it's a jet, now you can obviously tell a jet icon is a jet... What's the difference? Just adds to the game so you can look at the map and see what everyone is up to, I don't see what is not to like.

Well, first you should get into a good spot where you can see the sky clearly. Aim near him, and lead the scope in front of him. As soon as he passes through and the dot is on him, shoot. In about 2 shots he starts smoking.

normally the scrubs will get a couple kills then crash, not everyone who flies a jet is a noob you know


the lazer is now being treated as the rhino used to be which makes me slightly frustrated

Jets need to be nerfed because you're unstoppable? Not really, If you are a jet pilot you would know numerous ways to escape them and combat them (I.E. Heavy Sniper). If you had Buzzard tier-guns it would take a sh*t ton of time to kill someone with it.

 

 

By that logic all the aircraft should have explosive cannons. In case you didn't notice, the P-996 LAZER has missiles too. You can kill with that.

It was well known that 4 reports in the same lobby for Hate speech resulted in a ban, usually of 4 weeks depending on if you got in touch with R* through the support page.

Jet killing is quite far from being noob, it takes skills to jet troll, and when someone kills me with a jet, when someone killed me with a jet I wasn't even mad, I grab one myself and have a dogfight.

I shot a stationary jet in the engine and it seemed to go faster. One test is not enough though. Gotta steal somemore and try differentways of destroying them.

Thankfully? No, don't fix a problem by adding another problem. Add a counter measure against jets. A lock-on missile launcher would do the trick. To avoid it being OP, just make it as effective as the jet's missiles, so they're easy to avoid but enough to make the jets try a different approach.

 

inb4 there already is a counter measure against jets. No, a sniper rifle is not a counter measure.

 

 

I have often advocated the need for lock-on, ground-to-air missiles for this, but lately I have been using the Buzzard a lot for missions, and I have found that the GTA0 lock-on function is only useful for stationary and slow-moving targets. The missile goes to the spot in the sky (or ground) where the lock-on box was, when the missile was launched -- it does not actually track the target. So it would always miss the jets. "Console limitations," or bad programming?

You aren't thinking about the players that have wanted their own military type planes.

Those have been on people's wish lists for a long time, so while it sucks for us that hate being blown up for no reason, its good for the people who wanted to fly in jet planes, etc, even if some are being jerks.

To the jet pilots who claim they are not griefing wankers, I would say, you can have a lot of fun practicing your jet flying and having PvE satisfaction in an Invite Only or Solo session. Less lag for you, and no need to share your fun with a lobby who will not appreciate you. I'm sure you all can get behind that.

 

Funny how I never see any sociable jet action, like a few random jet pilots getting together in a lobby to fly in formation and put on an airshow. Seems like the only jets I know of, make their presence known by the sound of distant explosions, which rapidly get closer and louder.

Just tested it. I was wrong. It takes 10 shots to the fusilage for a plane to explode, almost 2 full Heavy Snipers magazines to destroy a Lazer. Sorry, this is the first time I played this game since friday...
