How unplayable has the game become?

Alot of us have experianced some type of issues while playing this game. Im curious to see how many of us actually have issues .

I personally have to deal with most of these issues on a daily basis and my game is borderline unplayable most of the time. I try to keep my cache and cookies clear but the lag lately is just constant and basically unbearable.

 

Anyone out there who can still play this game without any issues or are we all screwed?

 

This weekend I tried to do the event playlist. Took 3 attempts, and one involved a console restart.

 

But in general, with my router setup 100% port forwarding, the game works fine. There is glitches / odd issues / stability problems and it annoys me that Rockstar hasn't focused on this more - e.g. if Launcing Session.... fails I should not need to restart the game from scratch... BUT it's still very playable and fun.

 

I haven't noticed any serious lag, maybe they adjusted their network coding and it's screwing up your particular situation? That happened to me, after an update I suddenly needed to manually port forward the router to get the thing to work 100% without big ass delays or crashes (yet other people seemed to have had no problems).

Rockstar have stated that GTA Online is a separate entity. You paid $60 for GTA V, not Online. The GTA V disc is required for access, but that does not mean GTA Online shipped with GTA V.

Tried to search some LTS jobs to see what people created. It took the game 5 legit minutes to get me kicked out from the queue and another 5 minutes to get me kicked out from GTA Online without even playing. So yeah, all that timeout bullsh*t is back and is stronger than ever.

 

Thankfully I have to stay away from the console 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) because of high school.

Every time I expand the map on screen the game in whatever mode I'm in freezes for a moment.

 

It's funny it's got worst now when the current gen versions are coming soon

I'd say the real dick is the guy who made a two option poll: one with every conceivable problem any player could possibly have, and one for "none". Gee, wonder if someone wanted everyone to vote "yes"?

 

 

It's deliberate. As the current gen is gonna be released soon their aim is to make the game run as horrible as possible to give the impression that the current gen will resolve these issues due to more powerful hardware.

it does require some tweaking and hotfixing, but it's still quite playable

 

Agreed, still playable. I think that GTA0 pushes the consoles to the limit, and we see some effects of that. Regarding the network and server issues that cause stutter and lag, that's a bit different. I think those problems could be optimized. I wonder how it will be on PS4 and XB1?

 

Online games at twitch speed certainly present a challenge. But we're paying the best companies in the world to meet these challenges.

Quit lobby - timed out return to GTA V, it's annoying for me as I have the Minigun, RPG, Heavy Sniper from Survival and lose them.
