Online highest road speed for me is 172.37 in the Bati 801. In story mode it's 238.51 in an Adder with Franklin. Maybe in the new gen version of GTA Online cars will go as fast as they do in story mode.

A gate flung me into the air whilst in a tank (7500 mph). Any way of resetting this so I can get a sensible figure? No, thought not.

Considering the limit in GTA Online is 150mph, and If we were actually going 200+, the map wouldn't have time to render itself. You actually are going about 90mph.
