Dead and Gone

I decided to drive around in a few cars of mine today and wondered: "What happened?" What I mean is what happened to the reputation of some cars? They were loved by many only to get thrown to the side the next day. It kind of makes some of my cars feel like gems. All I see is the Zentorno. I understand that some cars are still owned by people but the love for them is just gone. Some examples:

 

 

 

Benefactor Panto.

 

This car used to infect public lobbies. It was driven by many and although it wasn't the most appreciated so much, is was in a lot of lobbies. It's a nice and quick car. Now it's gone.

 

 

 

Grotti Turismo.

 

I originally thought this would be a super car that a lot of people would keep and it'd be used all over. Nope. It was cool for a little then gone. Since the Zentorno wasn't around, the Entity quickly took it's place. it was a fast car that had nice handling, and since it's a hybrid, it doesn't slow down when shifting gears. But again, went away.

Pfister Comet.

 

It was an excellent car in Grand Theft Auto IV, with AWD/4WD and power, it could keep up with a lot of super and sports cars. Now it has a Rear Engine, Rear Wheel Drive system, and a lot of people hate it. Because it's not AWD/4WD, and it's tail happy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The more I think about this, the more I start to question a majority of the GTA Online poplulation. Why do they expect every new car to be the best in it's class? Why do they expect it to be AWD/4WD? Why do they expect it to be partially bulletproof? Why do it expect it to have tons and tons of visual mods? Anyways, what cars do you think were popular back then, be it in GTA V, or other GTA games that just don't get as much attention as some cars?

Cars that people loved due to the rarity. When they became purchaseable they were scrapped by many. Used to see a buffalo s in most peoples garages but not any more

I think, surprisingly, that the Entity is receiving the same treatment (Not as bad as the Turismo though). Nowadays all I see are Zentornos and Adders.

Was going to add this as well. It gets stopped by sidewalks curbs so easily. The Zentorno doesn't. Maybe another reason people like the Zentorno.

I still have my Turismo and will never sell it. My first ever baby and super car I ever had. But I do agree. I also rarely see anyone else have them in their garages and the other car you mentioned. It's sad how these 2 beautiful and underrated cars pushed to the side to these newer Super Cars and ect.

I barely see any Entities nowadays, hell Turismo is an Asterope in Online compared to the XF.

I often see Turismo R's in public sessions.

 

But I still have never seen anyone else with a Stinger.

Edit: Don't get me wrong I love my Zentorno for my own reasons. But hate it or love it, it is the perfect car for free mode

 

Zentorno has everything that everyone wants in a super car

 

-Very Fast

-Easy to handle

-Bullet proof back

 

Not to mention the car itself complements the crazy paint jobs and customization

 

I'm sure if another super car came along and was all of these things the same thing may happen to the Zentorno.

I must be one of the few who still owns an Entity XF. I have fond memories of that car because it was my first major purchase from the good old days of Coveted. I don't see any in free roam

 

Sultan was my first car in GTA Online, I don't see any in free roam.

Basically the Zentorno killed any variety in free roam.

Basically every car is "dead & gone" except the Zentorno because the kiddies love the gaudy body kits & outright speed. I swear Zentornos are all people drive anymore & all of them are hideous.

yup, because nobody is allowed to love a Zentorno. I don't have a Zentorno, but can't you people use your brain and actually realize that maybe, just maybe when you see someone driving a Zentorno, it's because they actually like it... and not just because it's the "new hot awesome super car".

I'm not saying to hate the Zentorno. I'm not saying that everyone likes it. I said a MAJORITY. Most people. I rarely see someone driving that car and isn't a complete b*tch. I agree that not every Zentrono driver is a jerk, but a majority of them are.

I used to see Roosevelts a lot during this past February when they were available, but it looks like their novelty wore out and everyone got rid of them (Probably a hit for quite a few people considering they were fairly expensive online). They are also outclassed for the racing class they are in, Sport Classics - they should have been put in sedans for competitiveness. However, the a positive side effect to this is it seems to be a real treat for quite a few players when they do see a Roosevelt now: I kept mine and people seem to think it's really cool because "you just don't seem them anymore".

Yes, everyone hops into my Roosevelt when I use it during missions with randoms. I still have the Turismo in my sig too...

I do have a Zentorno but it's purely a race car, I use my Phoenix, Comet and Bullet as regular mission/freeroam cars.

I use my Zentorno when I'm in the mood for pissing off the police. Noose are just to damn accurate when I'm at full speed to have anything without a bullet proof rear

I drive my massacro a lot the other day I wondered why 3 people, two zentornos and an akuma were chafing me around the city. I went to the hospital and did 10 laps on the cutting corners circuit, few laps of the city. Etc etc. then I get a message bounty survived.. Lol. I had no idea but none, of them got very close to me.

 

Its fast enough to avoid noobs. I also like driving my turismo, I use offroad tyres and full height springs which fixes its nose, diving partly. Its the fastest car in the game on certain tracks.

 

The zentorno is the best freeroam car in the game but not necessary. Z type and coquette are another two I enjoy.
