I love how people always assume this without the slightest shred of proof, or even the foggiest notion as to what the actual legal precedents are for something like that. If that were the case with video games, then everyone who'd ever bought an exclusive "pre-order" bonus which then became available to everyone six months down the line would have a case in court. The fact of the matter is that that's totally false, and you wouldn't have a leg to stand on. You'd be laughed out of court for being a dumbass and not reading your EULA.

 

R* can do whatever the hell they like with the content of this game. It's their property, and you are merely leasing a licence to play it. I'd like to point you in the direction of the utter raging dickheads who thought they were clever and attempted to bring a class action lawsuit against R* for not releasing heists when they advertised that they would. Anyway, the moral is that Rockstar can do what they please, and you have no rights.

 

So, I decided to look up the filed complaints and other court documents from that case you mentioned. Good find, it's McMahon v. Take Two. Reading it was quite humorous. There's so much fluff, it's like the type of crap you'd see written somewhere here on these forums. No wonder the judge tossed it. For example, there's a few times that it mentions the game was sold at a premium, which it was not. The $60 price tag goes for all games, and that's part of a suggested retail price scheme with the publishers and vendors.

 

Anywho, I think he was making a good point in terms of being fair to those who already purchased it with cash they obtained via shark cards. Again, I think there's an easy remedy for that, using some sort of conversion rate in terms of GTA to US dollars. Also, if the Roosevelt cost GTA$700,000 to purchase, it might be somewhere around $15 US dollars. It would still be limited in the sense that many would not be willing to pay that kind of money for one vehicle. It's sort of 'take it or leave it'.
