Stealing jets post 1.17 patch

I NEVER see the NPC jet. Seriously , hop the fence near the tunnel, head straight through the grassy area, kill the guard, hop in the jet,make a right u-turn and stay very low over the fence and swamp until your wanted stars blink... the jet NEVER spawns.

 

No, I haven't really notice achange in difficulty. In fact, I haven't even been bothered by the tanks at all. Seems like they haven't fixed the despawning of jets when multiple people are in the base. Sometimes when you need to call Lester because of all the people fighting for jets, you lose 5k because there isnt any vehicles... except for the 1 or 2 laggy ass jeeps.

they did seem to ramp it up a bit.. still not too hard tho.. a lot more tanks lol

Right, you're doing it the right way. But I am aware of what others are referring to: the aggressiveness of the NPC jet has been increased.

 

If you do not fly low on your way out, or you happen to approach the fort in an aerial vehicle for any other reason, the NPC jet will spawn faster than usual. In fact, even if you eject from your jet and land safely, the NPC jet will even make a point to hunt you down on foot and kill you. It's pretty hilarious. We've got some A.I. with a vendetta now.

 

But again, this can all be avoided if you just fly low on your way out.

I've seen some people die near 8-9 times trying to get into the base, the $500 death penalty still adds up too

There were a few instances before the LTS update where I would steal a jet and make it almost into the city with no wanted level and suddenly be shot down by a random NPC jet but that hasn't happened in awhile. other than that though I'd say it hasn't changed.

Stole one yesterday just to test its health against a heavy sniper. Still as easy as before
