You hate GTA Online - so why do you play it?

I'm well and truly perplexed. People like to whine and bitch and cry about how supposedly sh*tty this game is, but they never stop playing it.

 

Sometimes they'll use the excuse "I paid $60, so I'm gonna play it!" but that's bullsh*t too, because I can all but guarantee that those very people either A) Own other games which they no longer play, or B) Own single player games that played through once, maybe twice.

 

So I want to know. Why do you continue playing this game if you hate it so much? Why do you post on these forums about how much you dislike the game? Why don't you just STOP PLAYING THE GAME, trade it in, sell it, throw it in the trash, stick it on a shelf or give it away?

 

I don't want to hear other people's theories on why people do this, I want to hear it directly from the people hating the game. I want an answer.

 

I've got a feeling I know the answer... I think it's because you don't really hate the game, you don't really think it sucks, in fact you love it and you're obsessed with it and addicted to it and when certain things don't meet your unfair expectations, you overreact.

I say the same for Call of Duty. If all people do is yell and call each other obscene slurs, why play it?

I have really cut down on this game since nothing noteworthy has been released and major flaws with the game still remain
