Are special crates more likely to spawn in invite only sessions?

They are only supposed to spawn in invite-only if you have four or more people in the lobby. A few folks have claimed to receive a special crate when only two people are present in the lobby but it is unclear why this happened. Either way, you need to cycle through random events until a crate drops (HPVs, Lester targets, rob armored trucks, etc.)

Why do i need to do activities...isnt being in freeroam the only requirement? Once you join its supposed to only be a waiting game...

Doing activities might advance the cycle of events quicker, so just do them when they appear.

I haven't seen it drop once all weekend, I'm not to bothered by it tho cos I only wanted the mask which I got

R* can change max players required for a special crate drop .

Make sure you did all activities ( simeon high priority vehicle , armoured trucks ..etc ) and then wait .

Only one random event happens at a time. So if Simeon is waiting for the green car, you're wasting your time. Go blow it up.

the special crates CAN also appear if you're the only one in the lobby, I got one in an invite only session, it takes ages for it to appear though, wait it out buddy.

If you're by yourself switching sessions is probably the worst thing you could do. You'd be resetting the timer every time you go into another new lobby.

 

Multiple people have proved that you can get a crate drop in invite only by yourself today, but it takes 2-3 hours of waiting. Don't change sessions or you risk starting all over (unless you're going into a lobby that's already populated).

Yeah i didnt mean switching invite only sessions, i meant public ones.

 

My issue seems to be i keep getting placed with friends in static lobbies.
