RAZEKuraikokoro
Recently I've been trying to figure out ways to control the turbulence of the Buzzard helicopter, and that also means using the machine guns correctly. It turned out to be very hard, but the (pocket) rockets are more easier to use than the machine guns because it deals explosive AoE damage. Does this mean that the machine guns are ineffective in such a way? Edited October 5, 2014 by RAZEKuraikokoro
Ai®a©ob®a
Nah you just gotta practice such as leading your target and knowing how to control your buzzard while shooting. One way to practice is by doing the Target Practice in the Flight School and only use your guns that is a good way to get some practice The guns got a buff a few patches ago so they are stronger than they used to be. am30
The Buzzard machine guns are weak, always have been. They're near pointless to be honest. Aiming is a pain but for the Buzzard, you're better with the missiles (aim ahead of your target if it's moving or have a passenger shoot for you) seeing as the machine guns don't have explosive rounds like the Lazer. jazzbone
Flying the buzzard well takes practice. Maxing the flying skills may also help. The missiles are very usefull with lock-on enabled against stationary or slow moving ground targets. Fast moving ground targets are often missed as the targets are not tracked which causes the missiles to strike where the target was and not where it now is. The missiles against air targets is good unless the target gets too close or are fast moving jets. The machine guns are useless on anything other than a stationary target that is not armed and out in a wide open area. Also the buzzard must be very close to the target as the machine guns range is very very short. Edited October 5, 2014 by jazzbone
Maya Echo Visari
Ineffective? Nope. For how many helicopters I've wasted in a few short moments with the Buzzard, they are FAR from being ineffective. They just aren't easy to use, like they should be. Ground targets are probably what you're having trouble with, but it isn't a jet you're using, so best just get used to it. I think they're perfect just the way they are. Red Lynx 23
I've effectively used the Buzzard's machine guns on Police and Merryweather helicopters that got too close to even get missile lock on them. Just make sure to aim for the pilot to take the helicopter out quicker.
Shabazz916
i always felt you should be able to manual aim while in the buzzard
Skylan
In my experience, the machine guns are only good for taking out the tail rotors of enemy helicopters. In fact, they are quite good at this, with a bit of practice, of course. Missiles tend to miss when fired too close to the target. Hitting the tail rotor will instantly cause a helicopter to spin out, and is easier to hit than the pilot (it also explodes faster than the pilot dies).
