What if lester's off the radar was removed, and instead you go off the radar automatically while sneaking? you will show up on the minimap when players get close to you, or you fire a weapon, or you are in a vehicle travelling over a certain speed

 

increasing your sneak skill would allow you to get closer to others without showing on the map, drive faster in vehicles without being seen, and fire silenced weapons without popping up at all, or able to fire normal weapons closer to other players without popping up

 

obviously this would be a bummer on fools in jets, but IMO that's a good thing

I'd dislike this for many reasons. One major that comes to mind is when you find you are fighting around 5 + players around one block. Imagine everyone just having the ability to go off the radar unlimitedly, you'd be in the dark too much which will make you dead too many times as well to justify it.

It will surely make it realistic enough to make it a movie scene.

you fire a gun, you see the blip come up, you get an idea of where they are. they can't move too fast while sneaking

 

anyway, you can just use reveal players

I think the blip system should be revamped, not gonna happen, but stealth should mean something, stealth maxed, no blip, unless you have a wanted level/bounty, firing unsuppressed weapon, driving loud car, player sees/aims at you..ETC Then you call Lester to REVEAL blips if you want to find someone..

 

Of course crew/friends would be visible

naa they should just give us IV-style lobby options, thats it.

 

blip options=on/off/near/far

 

when the option is set to near, you would only see the blip of the other player while he like a block away from you.

 

when the option is set to far, you can see the blips of the players til they get within a distance, then their blip would disappear.

 

add hardcore mode(no bs/insurance) + lobby options thats it.

 

cops=off

blips=far

no insurance

no bad sport
