Is heavy sniper nerfed over the distance?

I'm not sure, what's your impressions? I'm talking about over-render distance sniping: it took me 4 shots to kill lvl 54 player in car and it's practically impossible to explode a buzzard with it now.

I've tested on a friend before, he was in a firetruck and way out of player rendering range. First test I shot a few times the scope indicator turned red as in a hit.. I asked him how much health he lost, he said I never hit him? Second test, same truck, same distance, one shot kill...So in short, I have no clue.

Arrows to Athens

The whole thing is nerfed. Sometimes 1 bullet takes away 1% of a players health.

the heavy sniper have been getting nerfed with every patch for months now.

everything started when they removed tank sniping, they reduced the render distance, reduced the power of the gun, etc etc...

believe it or not, they are deliberately making the game look as bad as possible, blame everything on "console limitations", so people would get impressed when they re-release the same game on the new consoles.

Im pretty sure the answer is yes if Im understanding your question right, I think its called damage fall off or something like that, you could get attachments in Max Payne 3 to remedy this, that game is about all I know about guns so you might want to check with someone else

No.

It's because your gun is Nerf guns with foam bullet, while enemy's gun is real deadly gun.

The result is what you have been experiencing.

There's a new gun out that falls under the sniper catagory so it would be of no surprise if the heavy and light snipers were nerfed to make the new gun look better.

If you fired a real Barrett .50 cal at a target just outside the max range and wind or other environmental factors caused you to miss, would you claim that God nerfed your firearm?

There are so many potentially subtle changes with this Update it is annoying at times to know whether or not you are imagining things or not. Not sure about the Heavy Sniper yet, but I am certain the Tank Turret is slower for example...

THIS! Absolutely my case! Sometimes I'm nailing guys in one shot way out of render distance and sometimes... Last time was with that guy in Turismo: no player visible, just car and player name, side window, 4 shots all with red hit marker. And buzzards... I tried with couple, was disappointed: out-of render it's like pistol hit, almost nothing.

I'm experienced enough to spot the difference, question is: is it permanent, is it glitch?

Not sure but I do know that the regular sniper rifle and heavy sniper have the same draw distance even though the heavy is supposed to have a more advanced scope

Maybe Rockstar have added a feature where the farther away the player, less damage the rifles do? I scoped a player recently from the top of the FIB building and got a direct hit, but didn't kill him/her. Maybe it also depends on how much armor/health a player has. Obviously if the player has gone below half, a shot will kill him/her instantly. But say if a player has full health and full armor, he/ahe may withstand the shot, not headshots of course. To be honest I really have no idea, but thats what I think.

The Heavy Sniper was nerfed the second we couldn't kill tank drivers.
