You know you could have quick joined playlist off the phone right? Lets cover that issue first as 9/10 times you would be placed into the event playlist when its an event weekend.

Also for whatever reason if you are the host and your internet security is not NAT type 1 you wont get as many people. If you can plug your console str8 into the modem this would be the easiest correction otherwise you would probly have to log into your router and find it.

That is the best way to get randoms to join you. You will have very little to no luck at all getting randoms with a NAT 2 or lower setting.

Matchmaking has always been a problem and this is where its rooted.

Lets all take a minute to remember that someone wanting the game to live up to its full potential doesnt equivalate to someone trolling or hating on the game. Kinda odd but the fanboys who jump up and tell others that they dont have a right to want more annoy me far more then R* itself ever has and it could be where alot of the "hate" comes from.

Im usually at odds with you but 100% agreed here.

Why cant we just offer some constructive criticism?? As I tried to do.

Op made some points but there were things he could have done to make his experience easier/more enjoyable.

This is a much more complex game then many would like to admit. I know day one players whom ive told things like we have stacking bp vests since the hipster update and they didnt know.

Most problems I see on here and in game are users who dont know all of the interface options and so forth. Some people dont know how to vote people out..

I just don't like the lack of balance. However, any attempt to balance things apparently equals 'crying' and is therefore dismissed as a legitimate argument. It gets called 'handholding', 'pandering', and usually ends with the issuer of those words calling you a 'twelve year old', then telling you you're playing the wrong game and that you should play barbie, or my little pony, instead. You can't take those kinds of people seriously at ALL, if they have to resort to those sort of comments. One of the big reasons I end most of my posts with "no replies". Because I've learned to identify the type of topic and discussion that will only illicit close-minded, and trollish, responses. Paying attention to those types of people is a waste of time, so why reply?

But I digress. Like I said, it's the lack of balance that I think is the problem. Most recently, the lazer has been getting a lot of attention, but some players will call you a crybaby (see above) if you ask that it be nerfed. Or, more correctly, BALANCED. Balance =/= nerf. There's a difference. I get that it's a jet and it's supposed to be powerful, but it shouldn't be so easy to get. Come to think of it, lots of things that are clearly more powerful than the rest shouldn't be so easy to get.

In most shooters, the RPG is a weapon that dominates. That's why most of them give you a limited amount of ammunition for it. And when you play multiplayer, the game either makes you earn it before giving it to you, or limits its spawn points on the map. But in GTA you can carry 20 of those things, 20 more if you count the grenade launcher, nearly 10,000 rounds of a mostly-one-hit-kill sniper, and just as many minigun rounds. There's no reason to ever use a 'lesser' weapon again once you unlock the bigger version. In other games, limited ammo and limited spawn points counteracts the fact that some weapons are vastly superior to others, but not here.

Admittedly, GTA has never been about balance. At least, not single player. We've always been able to lug around every single weapon ever, carry ridiculous amounts of ammunition with us, and just all around have extremely unbalanced gameplay. But you'd think - you'd think - that for the ONLINE version of the series, where you are pitted against other REAL players, not just NPCs, there would be some kind of order to the chaos, for the sake of creating a more fun and more dynamic game.

Unfortunately, it took Rockstar too many unbalanced single-player games before they got to having multiplayer. If they got their sh*t together, and reworked the entire thing for Online (which is kind of what they tried to do anyway by making us earn money to pay for our stuff), by limiting ammo on certain weapons, making some of them pick-up only (you can't just buy them and carry them forever), or up the price of their ammunition and make enemies drop it on rare occasions, making it a LOT harder to get overpowered vehicles like the lazer and the tank, if you did ANY of this NOW - the 'community' would lose their sh*t and start crying and whining about Rockstar 'ruining' GTA, 'nerfing' everything, 'pandering' to 'crybabies', and yet still inexplicably posting again and again on gameboards OF that game, which they claim is becoming ruined.

I have no hope for the future of GTA. It is what it is. Like I said, there's NEVER been balance, not even any ATTEMPT at balance, like other games have, so perhaps I'm just barking up the wrong tree expecting those things from the multiplayer portions of GTA. But THOSE are the reasons it's not as enjoyable to me as it could me. As enjoyable as Uncharted multiplayer is, for example. The most fun I have is sticking to invite-only where I can't be bothered by griefers, yet still enjoy the leveling system of Online. All I do is play missions and do parachuting anyway. I have no interest in deathmatch. Uncharted does it WAY better anyway. And racing isn't my thing. But even with these limits in place, I still enjoy Online from time to time. Playing missions COOPERATIVELY with other players is fun, which is impossible to do in freeroam with the way things are now. But if you even THINK of asking for a better passive mode, or a way to interact with other players WITHOUT the constant threat of killing each other, you get called a p*ssy and that's that. No counterargument, no well-thought-out rebuttal. Just an insult and a list of girly games you can go play instead.

No replies, unless you do it in a smart matter and are clearly not a troll.

Same reason why someone who doesn't like parts of the game isn't a crybaby.

I'm kinda sick of the bitching part of the community like this where they log on everytime there's an update, bitch and moan, then go back to the game they normally play. The case is u just don't like gta. Keep it moving.

Ignoring game issues and telling people what to do with their game (see below) makes people fanboys.

The game is amazing. The game is not the problem.

Take it back.

Nah I'm good :)

Then go play it.

So you stay the game sucks because you can't get into an event playlist. Yeah, alright then, i see your point

/sarcasm

Why do people feel the need to complain about the game on here, we're all here for news and stuff about the game, not to hear how you can't get a special crate or get into an event playlist.

News? Stuff about the game? I think you're in the wrong place friend.

This subforum is about: Complaining, Whining, Appreciation threads of every car, People that are just thinking what stupid and pointless question they can ask, and when they have the first question that comes to their mind (see "What's your opinion of..." "Share pics of..." "What do you think about..:"), they create a thread, And concepts and ideas for the game that Rockstar will not check and implement anyway.

I think you have too many expectations. While I understand your sentiment, I'm not totally convinced this game needs the dramatic action you're suggesting. You're forgetting there's an incredibly unique quality to the balance of GTA Online. It's a delicate mix, requiring the game to be cooperatively playable and enjoyable for all, while continuing to channel the spirit and essence of GTA: utter chaos, destruction, lawlessness and gluttony. The minute the game begins to devolve into anything less, nerfling everything and allowing it to flow down the slippery slope, is the day it ceases to be GTA. So where does it stop? That's the concern most people have.

Most of the noise in here is reactionary anyway. There really isn't much of a pickle to fight, and everyone eventually gets over it. So no need to type "no replies", just ignore the obvious trolls, and put the easy ones in their place. You seem intelligent enough to do that, no?

It is threads like these that make me wish I wasn't called a gamer.

Nobody is grateful for anything.

I don't want to be associated with anyone who complains about something which is completely free and has cost thousands of dollars to be implemented, designed and tested, which then has to be able to be transferable to millions of consoles simultaneously. This all happens at no expense to the end user most of the time, especially on this game.

Maintaining servers 24/7 is expensive. Testing and coding is time-consuming and costly. There are so many things that have to be done at great cost which isn't even paid for by the customers.

No product in the entire world gives you more value for money than a video game.

First of all, props on reading my entire reply (if you indeed did), I kind of lost control of it. :p

Secondly, I DID acknowledge I'm probably expecting too much of GTA, exactly for the reasons you repeated. However, I don't agree that it's ever been about 'chaos' and 'destruction', so much as having the freedom to do a variety of things. It just so happens that if you give people freedom without consequence, most of them will tend toward chaos. Why? The better question is, why not?

But yes, I do acknowledge I'm expecting too much from GTA, which is why I stick to the parts I like and don't go into public freeroam anymore where all the chaos looms. I also do understand why the community is so reluctant to change and pretty much accept that now.

My "no replies" thing is really there to stop arguments before they begin, immediately letting people know I'm not open to debating, which hopefully stops them from replying at all, and therefore having other people reply to those people and starting the same old tired arguments that go nowhere and only serve to waste people's time. You really can't put trolls in their place anyway. As soon as you reply for ANY reason, they've won. But I digress.

Kudos for being a reasonable person. Those are RARE here.

There's no such thing as 100% balance in any game cause someone will always find a stronger weapon, easy method of killing (ex. driving backwards in cars shooting) glitches, mods/hacks... we all know this or should. It is fine balance wise. Sh*t, I take on 3 people sometimes and win so it's good IMO.

lol, I read it because I could actually read it, unlike some posts that I've come across with walls of text and no punctuation.

I think there will always be those people who tend to favor the chaotic nature of GTA. But rightly so, because there's not much of a consequence for your actions in GTA. Increasing the numbers in Bad Sport only begets the reactionary "this is not GTA" response, and reluctantly, I have to agree with them. What if everyone was so frightened to do anything in free-roam that everyone played nice in fear of being placed in Bad Sport? They're all great questions.

I understand the trolls and repetitive arguments, but I guess I'm just one to entertain them. :p

So you came back after a period of time not playing? Sounds like you gave up on the game already.

You play the game after the update and expect something more but you didn't get it. Because of this, you moan on here.

This is CUT CONTENT that they are giving us and you think you deserve more than this garbage. You aren't entitled, just C* is full of it. There, I said it.

And these "sh*tty little tweaks" is Rockstar worsening the experience and making as many issues as possible. I don't think you are aware of how long it takes to piss everyone off completely and then repeat the process until everything breaks like it should. On top of this, we get new content, new things to do in this terrible, dead game world.

This is all for FREE. And will continue to be FREE. Because you know why? ITS CUT CONTENT! I obviously have no clue so Im gonna spew out as much bs as I humanly can! This game isn't perfect, but it is always getting worse.

Fixed mate, you're welcome.
