Will the 360 and PS3 versions be "DEAD" come November 18th?

I have a Xbox One already but for others who don't have a new system. What if lobbies are basically a ghost town and everyone has moved on to the New-Gen systems?

Considering that you can get a full lobby on GTA IV still, GTA Online should be fine.

Whether or not it becomes a modded mess, I can't answer that.

^ This. That and very few gamers have upgraded to next gen, it will be a year or two before that happens

Not everyone has an XBOne/PS4 yet, nor is everyone willing to spend $60 on a game they already own. PS3/XB360 will be alive for at least another year, as far as I can tell. The only thing that bothers me is that eventually the player-base will be split into 5 groups, which sucks.

I think the most plausible outcome is updates being released on current gen a few weeks before they come to last gen, but it's very possible all future online updates will be current gen exclusive

I doubt it, at least not anytime soon. But expect R* to stop releasing major stuff for the old gen is the strategy to get you to eventually HAVE to upgrade.

I could easily afford it 100 times over literally but right now I'm choosing not to buy one because they don't really appeal to me atm. I believe last gen will have a higher population than current gen, it will be a few years till current gen will become the norm. I bet devs are making more money from 360/ps3 owners than they are off ps4/one owners. Smoky stop showing off about your ps4, just because people can afford an item doesn't mean there going to buy it. The ps4 doesn't have backwards compatibility and is very limited in lots of other aspects so there are reasons to not buy a new console other than money.

When this game is out for next-gen, it is basically a green light for modders to f*ck up the game because rockstar does not care about the game on old-gen systems.mjust like CoD that comes out of every year. Who knows, maybe Rockstar will comeback to take a painting off the wall and delete an entire section of the map for some people that find it offensive.

I agree with you. The PS3 and the X360 aren't gonna go anywhere, people are still going to play on them. I still play games on my PS2.Hell even i whip out the ol' playstation 1 every now and then. People act like you have to get it right away. Im sure theres people that starting playing GTA online way after release date.

No, not every GTAV player is moving onto the current-gen version. There's lots of people playing Titanfall on Xbox 360, and people playing Watch Dogs on 360 and PS3. GTAV is no different.
