A few new features in the 1.17 update that Rockstar never mentioned

Here are some things that were added to GTA online after the 1.17 patch that were never mentioned in the patch notes:

Tank turrets no longer violently "snap" to match your camera angle when they are first entered.

Vehicles that need to be collected during missions now have bulletproof tires.

It is now possible to auto aim on to cops that are in helicopters.

The main rotors and tail rotors on helicopters no longer break.

I hate the last feature

It makes the game more unrealistic

Auto aim on helicopter pilots?

So basically my RPG is pretty much useless now?

Not the pilots. Just the cops that are shooting

Officer Ronson

The tail rotor of a helicopter can still be broken, however it seems that it was dissabled only for the Police Maverick. Every other Helicopter works just fine.

I heard the vehicle engine turning on/off option returned, or was this false? I lend a friend my game so I don't know? Hopefully, it's true because this would come in handy when on shootouts and robbing stores for quick getaways.

PC modders will fix this issue :D

Everything but the last one is good. Although I'm fairly certain that auto-aiming on chopper pilots and gunners has been possible since launch.

Why in the heck would you disable rotors breaking? That was in since GTA IV. Come on.

it's not the worst thing they disabled that was in IV though.

I think Franklin can use his old safehouse garage? Haven't checked yet, but it opens and let's you park a car in there?

Edit: you can park vehicles in there, but they don't save.

Why the hell would they disable shooting the rotors? I can't think of a good or logical reason for this. I loved shooting out the rotors with nothing but a musket!

I hope the tail rotor thing is another glitch like the vending machines and fire truck hose.`

Everybody here knows I am a fan of the game but they need to get some better programmers for these updates. I am all for the new vehicles and weapons because the more the merrier but it shouldn't be messing up the basic gameplay. I am glad the business calls are back though.

A programmers poem

101 bugs in the code, 101 bugs in the code,

Take one down, patch it around,

407 bugs in the code.

It's not the programmers fault. It's just coding unfortunately.

Previous patches f*cked these things up, but they are back to normal now...

It's not the programmers fault. It's just coding unfortunately.

Yet, no other GTA seemed to suffer from these sorts of things. But then again, no other GTA, other than IV, needed patches considering it was a "finished" product when they sold it to the masses. All these nickel and dime updates are doing nothing but messing something else up, as minor as it is, it's still f*cking annoying...

Yep that is the problem with gaming today. Companies know that they can release games incomplete then just patch bugs etc. While then charging you another £20 for the rest of the game (dlc) but that's a different story for another day as it's off topic.

The Internet ruined gaming!

PoeticWhisper

The whole list is great, except for the last one.

I loved heavy sniping a choppers tail until it spun uncontrollably into a flaming inferno.

If we weren't getting any content added into the game, no matter how small, then people would complain that Rockstar doesn't care at all. We get content added and people complain that they're messing up the game. I also don't see how we are getting nickel and dimed on all these free DLC's. Coding is a bitch, and with this being the biggest game they've made, there are a lot more opportunities for mistakes to happen...oh well.
