After I found out you can enter the pacific standard bank yesterday, I promptly did some googling and glitched my way into the IAA building and the zancudo air tower.

 

Are there any other interiors you can glitch into that I missed? Can you enter the FIB offices?

i know for sure you can glitch into the tower at zancudo & I'm pretty sure the FIB buildings, though I've never done it myself. Also pretty sure you can get into Micheal and Franklin's house.

I've tried to glitch into Franklin's house using the store method but never worked for me. Also while we're on interiors, f*ck you R*. That lab deathmatch was the most fun I've had, bunch of fun-nerf killjoy canunts :(

Using content creator it was possible to enter any building you wanted not many have solid interior and you just fall ,but from what I've been reading for some reason rockstar are not happy with us playing indoors so have gone to the trouble of blocking us now, not yet tried since update so not sure , if they have got to ask "WHY"

Will never understand how to read this kind of thing , but I don't understand why rock star would pay the wages of someone who is spending his time not creating new content or fixing broken parts of game but stopping people from accessing the inside of a few dozen buildings , bizarre ?

Although most game logic is coded with c++, some things (such as settings/config) is still writtend in other types of files/languages such as XML, INI, JSON (remember tuneables.json?), etc.

R* xml/meta files always start with functions names hardcoded in the game engine .

This file is using CInteriorProxy function .

R* can create a new native use this function to get the interiors names to prevent players from accessing them .

Handling.data use CHandlingDataMgr , dlctext.meta use CExtraTextMetaFile , carvariations.meta use CVehicleModelInfoVariation , the game engine checks for every xml file use <stats> and then use what between <stats> and </stats> and set them as stats in-game .

You really want to get into this?

 

Do you have any experience in coding software at all? I already know that answer from your previous post, obviously software uses higher level languages to call settings and the like but saying that miniscule bit of xml is the reason we can't enter some/most buildings is like saying global warming is caused by a little old laddy with her gas fire on.

 

You could do what you wanted with that there and bet you my house and car that it would not allow you to enter buildings, if this was the case (complete impossibility) gta v would have been released 4 weeks after gta 4...

 

The complexity of a game on this scale is just absolutely huge, what younhave quoted there is like a fly pissing in the ocean..

But are you questioning how that XML file prevents players from accesing forbidden interiours? The answer (what I think) is that the game most likely uses that file to keep track of the illegal interious so that It knows when a player tries to enter one of them.

 

Was hoping funmw2 could enlighten us a little with his prev post, but I couldn't understand it because of his rather... bad english (pls no offense intended).

 

And I do have some experiance in C#, but not C++ :D.

am struggling to access interiours I could enter before but have no issues with playing content I have already played , some of which have over a thousand plays

Yeah I agree, the real coding that blocks the entry of interiors is encapsulated probably deep inside one of the classes inside one of the engines.

I don't think that XML file has much to do with not being able to use them in the creator. It was probably an internal code patch.

 

That XML looks more like it's used for game loading or similar, the order in which modules get loaded, e.g. it's not called <BlacklistMapAreas>, it's <SInteriorOrderData>.

 

Just my 2 cents.

 

Rockstar would've removed the ability because they wouldn't have tested or be supporting the use of interiors in custom game modes. You can often tell when playing a DM built in them, that the interiors were not designed with this in mind e.g. objects you can't hide behind. Probably an "executive decision".

TOday while playin' GTAO, I recieved a invite of a custom job with the title "INSIDE FBI BUILDING" or something similliar. Although most of the jobs seems to be fake, there might be a possibility of them being legit, so might wanna check those out.

Yeah the FIB one's have been around for months now. Theres a few Lab death matches as well.

They aren't that good though, you just end up camping most of the time or you'll die, unless you have a OP weapon or like 5 other players on your team.

anyway, i've tried a few times to get into the FIB offices- i keep falling all the way through and dying instead of landing on the small ledge. I did use an under the map glitch to get into the main humane labs area though, that was pretty cool

My fav is one in Franklin's house I did , just a mad fist fight with full lobby of players you feel like you been in a fight at the end

Are you entering 4 off doors at roof level from memory each one puts you in different part of building
