79'Blazer4x4 Posted October 6, 2014 Share Posted October 6, 2014 My post from another topic: I really enjoyed the updates we received in the past, but seriously, what the f*ck, Rockstar? This update is so boring. They included a rushed car, with a terrible design. I am beginning to think they designed the car three days before the update released. They ported two bikes from The Lost and Damned into the update as well, and they're not even the better bikes from TLaD, either. No Revenant. No Lycan. No Wayfarer. Just the Pikachu bike and the Innovation. I can't believe it. Then they try to win us back over with two guns, which are pretty cool, I like them a lot. I am appreciative of those. They should have ditched the bikes and went straight for guns/gear/clothing. I am pretty disappointed with this one. However, I am optimistic. I hope the next update is better than the Hipster update. Until then, I wont be playing V that much. I agree, they're hardly even trying anymore. Personally I wouldn't mind the Innovation and Hakuchou if they had some customization options, but you can hardly customize them at all. I agree that the Revenant, Lycan, or Wayfarer would have been better additions. Or the Wolfsbane, that was one if my favourite bikes in TLaD. Make a legit complaint like 'they all handle as sh*tty as the other bikes in V or they're the sh*tty ones of the TLAD bikes'. What I find especially amusing is when people say the DLC is free, so you don't have the right to hate on it or even rate it. I bought the game so I have a right to voice my opinion on anything amd everythimg related to V. I don't give a f*ck if the DLC is free or not, I'm going to criticize it and if you don't like it that's too bad. Shut up and worry about yourself you nutty lunatics. donnits Posted October 6, 2014 Share Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) The new weapons are awesome, especially the new rifle. The shotgun isn't good at all, but it's a Saiga, so that makes up for it. The Hakuchou is my favorite part of the update - i LOVE driving this bike in The Lost & Damned and i driving the bike in V is a cool throwback. The Innovation is really cool, too - but i never used it as much in TLAD, so i don't really have a throwback feeling in it. The bike still looks awesome. The clothes... eh. I don't like the military stuff... The gloves would be awesome, but you can only wear it with a team top, which is just stupid. It's kinda cool doing the helmet glitch, putting on a BP helmet over a team mask while wearing the full grey team outfit with body armor on. Looks like you're NOoSE. Still, i don't like the clothes that much. I never played Manhunt, so the new mask is alright to me. It's basically just another hockey mask - but it's definitely my favorite version of it. The LTS Creator should have been added when they added the DM creator as it's the same thing, only simpler to create. The other small additions are nice, like them getting rid of the Auto-Snapmatic (annoying as hell) while also adding jet, helicopter and plane player blips to the map. I'd say it's better than the Flight School Update and the Beach Bum Update. The rest of the updates we got are better. Hipster Update still remains my favorite. I'd give the Last Team Standing Update a 5/10. EDIT* Forgot to talk about the new car. Furore GT? Looks cool, but without any actual mods to it, it's really boring. Yet another car to return it's name from GTA 2, but i never played GTA 2 so there is absolutely no nostalgic value in it for me. I don't like the car. Marksman rifle is actually a really good weapon, especially in populated deathmatches or last team standings. The new shotgun is nice, I do prefer it over the assault shotgun, feels ever so slightly less powerful which makes it a bit more fun to play with. Still love the pump shotgun over any other shotgun. The highlight of this update for me was the double RP. Leveled up so fast just by playing that last team standing event playlist, pretty good stuff there. I'm still saying it's a sh*tty update, just saying the vehicles would have been more enjoyable with customization. Customization is something we all expect from these little update vehicles, so when they do give boring ones they can normally be made at least a bit more interesting through customization. Everyone knows by now that they're not going to change the driving physics and handling in an update. Hell, they probably won't even improve that in NG. That may be an occasional choice. I'm not a big motorcycle fan in this game. I don't mind the Innovation. As we all know, handling is way too sensitive for them. Both weapons I think are great. Alec Skorpio Posted October 6, 2014 Share Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) Honestly Last Team standing is probably tied for favorite after the High Life update (or whichever one gave us white sport coats) I actually like the combat shirts, the masks (as close to a balaclava as we are going to get I imagine), the helmets and the gloves. Actually, I especially love the gloves, even if Rockstar North was stupid and made it so you can ONLY wear them with combat shirts. (seriously Rockstar, WTF?) I also enjoy that they FINALLY released a chopper. (even if it has no appearance modifications) Also the fact that they are still releasing creator updates this late into the game gives me just a sliver of hope they'll release a mission creator eventually. The whole point of them having online for this game was so we could frequently [Like every two weeks the shoulve had cars and weapons.] be seeing new stuff but it hasn't been that. Im barley playing online right now and thats because its just boring. Im a sports cars type of guy and its sad to see rockstar duplicate these crappy cars, change a few things on em [bodykit wise] and still not have it much customizable. Imo Online is killing GTA based on the DLC because rockstar is releasing these "piece-piece free" bullshiit for online while people like me, who waiting on the casino to be open, more clubs/bars, more activities .. minor adjustments to be modified in single player. NO clothing DLC what so ever for SP! Michael still don't own a hat. smh really? Raylion Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) I've not been impressed with the last few updates to be honest as R* only seem to focus on items to buy rather than new things to do. As such I hardly play any more which is a shame for me as the fundamentals of the game are fantastic. However, if R* ever release a mission creator then I suspect I would never stop playing the game as the possibilities would be immense. Until then a few vehicles, guns and clothes every month or so doesn't do anything to rekindle my interest.
